Digital camera help
Hey guys, I am considering buying a Nikon D70S D-SLR camera. I have searched ebay and for it and saw a good price for $1400. It is for a full package. The seller is a vendor that has a website. Would you guys buy it from it or would you rather buy it somewhere else besides ebay? here is the link to the thread.

Hey, that's a pretty good deal! Subscribing...I'm interested in knowing as well since I'm in the market for an SLR camera. I was also considering the Canon Digital Rebel XT but this one seems to be a better value since it comes with a bunch of stuff. Good find!

I would check sunshine camera with the BBB first, some of the new york vendors have complaints on them. But it's a good deal, i looked up the 2 lenses, the 18-70 was like 350, the 70-300 is 279, the hitachi 4gb is 200, the cheapest i seen the d70 body was 679, the other stuff is cheap stuff but it's free with the 1389 price. Was shipping free?
Depends on the waranty. If it's not an authorized dealer then kiss the warranty good bye. Otherwise it's a pretty good deal. I personally like Canon's EOS series and think it's a better buy.

you may want to make sure if it is a international warranty or if it is us. If it is international, then it is gray market. That means if there is a problem you have to ship the camera to japan.

Hmm...not sure about that. I bought the digital Rebel XT w/lens for $900 at Circuit City a couple of months ago, then picked up the starter kit (bag, extra battery, uv filter, etc.) from Best Buy for $50. Have you shopped around to see if you could find the Nikon cheaper anywhere else?

Juno, have you ordered any lenses yet? I've got a 17-40mm on order right now... I'm not digging the kit lens too much...

Well, I was planning on ordering the 75-300 USM IS because I saw it on Crutchfield for $385 a while back, but when I checked last night it was back up to $499. I didn't mind the kit lens when I first got the camera because it's my first SLR, but now I'm ready to start upgrading!
