Question Digital Camera Advice

I am looking to buy a digital camera. Looking for the best one for 500 or less. I want something that is small enough to carry around but not so small that I will break/lose it. Thanks for the help.

i got the canon sd400 on ebay for under 300. 5 mp, and smaller then a pack of cigarettes. i got it after months of research, because i sell products online and needed something really good. id recommend going to cnet.com and doing some research, but ive been amazed with mine, and no one can believe how small it is

So long as the lens is very good, and the processor for processing the images is top notch, you will have great pictures. For 500 bucks, you should be able to get a pretty good Canon, Nikon, etc... that has known reliability and takes great pictures.

I have tried these in the last mongh:

Minolta Dimage X60 - Great price, so so picture
Sony DSC-T5 - Avg price, so so picture, but small.
Sony DSC-T7 - High price, so so picture, smallest size!
Canon SD450 - Great price, great pictures, small size too!

I picked:

Canon SD450 $300~ check www.newegg.com

It has great outdoor pictures, good indoor pictures, and tons of features.. and it's pretty small.

I didn't like the Sony DSC-T7, since the indoor picture quality was very noisy when compare to Canon SD450, and it's also more pricy. But it has the cool factor

thanks for the info I am leaning towards one of the canons. Haven't narrowed it all the way down, but I have the brand now.
