forgot. remote shutter release. or you can use the timer. but a shutter release would be better cause you can mirror lock.

we need a whole thread devoted to the digital rebel xti, i recently purchased one and i don't know jack about taking pictures, willing to learn though...

What do you plan on shooting? Shooting landscape will require different settings than shooting sports, which will different from shooting cars.

Your gear would also be helpful. Body, lens, accessories, etc.

he's probably shooting girls, in shower, from outside the house, using telephoto lens

I'm assuming digital.

Take the camera out of automatic exposure!

No auto ISO or else you'll end up looking like this:



Bracket your exposures starting down -3 stops, -2 stops, and then -1 stop.

Tripod and remote release of course.

Read the darn histograph.

Shoot in RAW mode.
