you need a car rig. It just a way to mount the camera to the car.

There are different types.

Most of those type of picture are taken at low speed with the engine off to eliminate vibrations. The camera's shutter speed gets adjusted to get that going fast look. Once the picture is achieve then the rig gets edited out.

Or you can take the pic from the inside if you don't have the $$$ for the rig. I documented the process in this thread:

Daytime or nighttime. It was really fun doing this, and... you probably have all the equipment needed.

There's is also this kind which gets the entire car in the picture, but you need to pony up $750.

photoshop motion blur just doesn't quite look the same as the real thing..

that was definately a "rig shot" .. The result of mounting a camera to the wing.. or even just placing the camera on the wing if it's stable enough.. set a slow shutter and push the car a few feet.. The extra slow shutter and the car slightly moving is enough to create a sense of motion..

Driving the car while taking this shot or even turning the motor on creates too many vibrations that could cause blur..

doesn't seem great for a photo rig since it doesn't provide much distance away from the car.
