I miss my 70-200 2.8L IS (mk i) sometimes. I did hate carrying that thing around, though.

It's definitely a reality check to hold it but it's nice to keep the flow of a shoot going instead of having to stop and switch lenses and start again. Here's a shot of Alex of Yeyo Tequila and another of my MUA Amanda.

Thanks Steve. I thought about picking up the 100 macro but might go with the CZ 50MP instead or a set of Kenko tubes to hold me off until I can't justify the price of the MP-E 65

Nice light and editing, Chris! I'd like to see a little more shadows on the ground so that Mary doesn't look like she's floating too much. I'd also like to see her fingers extended. I always have problems with positioning hands and was told that it's best to show the blade of the hand. It's more feminine because it has a slimmer profile.

Thanks! I learned a big lesson on this shoot and that was to never setup the seamless on carpet, especially if you're shooting a model in heels haha. Nice shots of Kyllie too. A different editing than I'm used to seeing from you but I like it. Was there a bokeh texture layer used on the 2nd one?

BTW here was a little crop of the floor earlier in the session before post which is why I had to cut her out and create a new bg. Live and learn I suppose!

Pretty crazy view. Went to Seattle for the weekend with my old man for the Seahawks/Bengals game and took a ton of shots. I was a little surprised they let me in Century Link Field with a gripped 5dii and the 70-200 2.8ii mounted.

Awesome shots here guys!
A couple detail shots:

And a few of my faves:

The last one was actually on the front page of Indy car driver Josef Newgarden's website for a while

All were shot with a Canon XTI and a 70-200mm lens. Just got a Canon 50D which I haven't had much time to play with yet..

I did my first portrait shoot in ~ 5 years. I had a friend that's been asking me to do one with her for the last few months. She's a gamer and is into Cosplay and the Japanese culture. You can see more of her on her Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/SFongwong#p/f

I think I'll stick with taking photos of cars.

She knows I have a thing for girls in knee-highs, hence these outfits
