Pic of my car
Definitely looks better than my "White Pearl" baby. '04 Tour' Coupe, 13k when
bought, $22,000 @ $505.46/mo, 3½ yrs. Zeds are scarce down here (Puerto
Rico) due to their price--'08's price tag is $49,700!!! Your radar's got to be active all the time, to detect sweet deals like the one I landed! No feathering; just the small nuisances: gas latch release problem, hatch door struts, driver's side power w. glitch...No one stranded due to any of those!
Old man from Puerto Rico, IN LOVE AFFAIR WITH HIS Zed!

yeah, i was going to say the lights were too "focused" and a softbox would definitely help. what are you currently using?
btw I'm still reading/learning... it's always good to learn what techniques ppl use

What you using for your radio triggering? Or are you using IR? Thinking about the Elinchrom, but the non removable li-ion batteries of the slaves is a downer. Been waiting for the Radio Poppers to arrive though. Have you heard of them? TTL metering preserved like IR.
Pocket Wizards are just so damn expensive.

Thanks guys. I'm not a beginner at photography, but this is really my first time shooting cars with strobes.
I shoot with a Canon 5D. I used a 70-200 f/2.8 L lens for this shot. The strobes were two Sunpack 383's and a little "peanut" light behind the rear tire. I used Pocket wizards to fire them. Yes, PW's are expensive but I can also use them to fire my camera remotely if I want.
I'm looking forward to using my photogenic studio strobes for my next car shoot. I'm also building a car rig to mount my camera to do some long exposure moving shots, hence the need to fire my camera remotely.
