The 40D does not support UDMA. UMDA supports a faster read and write speed, so buying a EXTREME IV will be a waste, unless you want compatibility with future generation bodies. The EXTEME III cards are pretty much the max performance cards you can get for the 40D.

Just ordered from Adorama:

Bogen Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod legs and a 488RC4 ball head to go with it. Should work much better than my Ultrapod II.

A pair of Sunpak 383 strobes from B&H. Get 'em while you can, they've been discontinued.



The blasphemy! Nikon Hot Shoe cover... for that extra protection.

Hopefully, I can get in a session with 4 strobes tomorrow.
