Default Bike Photography

Did a charity event a couple weeks back and was asked to do some photos as my donation. Here are a few that seemed ok. C&C always welcomed.

The composition is good, but your lens is creating a lot of chromatic aberration (purple fringing)

I see some purple color in the chrome reflections but nothing that I would call CA. Can you point some examples out so I can go about fixing this? Thanks!

shot 1, pretty much anything that is reflective on the bike closest to you in the image
shot 2, it's obvious in the glare
shot 3, on the teeth and around the chrome speedo bracket

i thought that was from the flash. to me CA created a glow or halo effect around the edge of an object particularly on a light/dark object. so what I see above is not from the flash?

The flash is what's creating the CA but ultimately it's still CA. In this case, it's purple fringing.

well that makes more sense, thank you. so how do I prevent that for future use. Here is what was used.

Sony @300
Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Di LD Macro Zoom Lens
Promaster 7500EDF Flash

I'm not too familiar with Minolta/Sony lenses, so I can't offer any advice but the root cause is due to poor optics in the lens. If you read any in-depth lens review, there's usually a section dedicated to vignetting and chromatic aberration.
