because i know a good tuner here.
From my understanding, and I could be wrong, you would still need your inital tune done by a dealer/tuner. There are certain parameters that need to be setup initially, that the user interface does not have access to.

E-Mail Jason @ proefiguy@gmail.com he could probably answer these questions better then anyone.

There are several dealers/tuners that travel outside of the US to do installs and tuning. I would contact one of them about pricing. Either unit will be a good choice.

And you won't There are tuner's here in the US that travel outside the US to do tuning on various Engine Managment systems.

I would post your question in the tuning section of the ProEFI forum on www.proefi.com. You will get your answer there!

Well, I have had the opportunity to drive the car 3 times so far. The first time was in pouring rain...nothing over 25 miles per hour from NJ to NY.
Second drive was much better...got to boost and have some fun
Third trip was also a blast. Just trying to manage the 530 rwhp provided by Turbo Trix.

First time with a built engine and running it on the street is a tease.
By the time I get the car up to speed, its time to hit the brakes. This is plenty of power.

2 Small items that will need to be tweaked by tuner:
Hot & cold start up - car hesitates to start a bit. Can be corrected
On & off throttle - a little hesitant to slow down, or pick up. Can be corrected.

I have yet to tune for high boost as I still have to install the high psi wastegate springs. Once I do that, I go back to the tuner and make adjustments and additional meth tune.

I can't believe I am even thinking of making this even faster.

Overall....A lot of fun and regular driving is great. Very happy. Will be even happier once 2 issues get addressed.

Thats all for now.

That good news Randy!

I'm sure those two issues can be corrected.

For a tuners first shot at tuning the ProEFI and the first time tuning a 350z, overall its not bad. Once we get the bugs out, it should be awesome.

My car is not fully tuned yet, but on normal wastegate pressure (around 7 or 8 PSI, IIRC), it is making 425 WHP. I got to go for a ride yesterday and it was a blast. The car hasn't been tuned for driveability or high boost yet, but it was a nice little teaser. It was flippin' fast! With Toyo T1R's I couldn't even hook up.

When Jason gets back in town and finishes the tuning, I'll give you all an update. I'm shooting for some big numbers.

You can create multiple maps, and you would use the optional Can Gauge to toggle through the different maps.

I spoke to Jason from ProEFI, and the user software is "Right around the corner". He also stated the Can gauge software interface is almost complete as well. Updates as soon as we receive them.

OK, so I had my car last weekend and have it again this weekend. It's very hard to convey how great it runs. Last weekend it wasn't fully tuned, since I insisted I take it for a show before it was done. It is now fully tuned for low boost. It starts and runs smoothly. The idle is smooth and steady. The boost comes on quickly and at the right ranges. Very nice so far. next week it will be tuned for a high boost MAP as well.

***SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION, WHEN I PICKED THE CAR UP, THE TUNER WASN'T THERE AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR WAS TUNED FOR ONLY 7.5 PSI AND I WAS GIVEN THE DYNO AT 475WHP. THE FACT IS THAT IT WAS TUNED FOR .7 BAR AND MADE 475WHP; STILL QUITE AN ACCOMPLISHMENT, AND IT MAKES MORE SENSE! I CAN'T EDIT THE TITLE, SO MAYBE A MOD CAN HELP OUT ***

It was on the dyno today at Intense (115 Degrees! Yikes!)
0.7 BAR
91 Octane
475.71 WHP
420.49 Ft-lbs

Woot Woot!

Dooooood! Those are some serious numbers for 7.5psi on pump!! What psi are you guys gonna push it to? With your setup I would assume high teens low twenty's!
