The only thing you will regret is if you had built your motor with the Greddy twins and then a stock motor car like mine drives right by you LOL.We have had more then a few guys come by, with some of the big name turbo kits, on built motors, running moderate boost levels(13-15 psi) and they cannot believe that some of our cars are faster then them, running 8-9 psi on stock motors. It just sucks when you spend a bunch of money building your motor in order to run more boost, safely and the car isnt much faster the a stock motored car with some big twins

This is the only kit I would consider other than the STS

If I get this promotion (should know by the end of Jan/early Feb) I will drop the STS idea and go SFR

Hey turbotim, on your guy's website you have some high boost dynos. Whose car is that on? What mods does the built engine have?

That was Kevins car.He has a built motor with 9 to 1 compression,JWT cams, stock heads,3" APS exhaust,Haltech and some other stuff. Injected just dynoed a 4.1 stroker car and made huge numbers on pump gas at 16 psi. I think it was like 718WHP.But they used the larger T-67 turbos

"60-1 hifi close if not a larger turbo than the 35r"

True or not true? And if true there was a post stating that 35r would be way slow spooling w/o BB, how about the 60-1 hifi. Is it a slow spool with twins unless you opt for the BB option?

Edit: I just noticed that waaay slow spool w/o BB was for the 67. Still how is spool for 60-1 hifi compared with say a greddy or APS? Also, what does the BB option on the 60-1 hifi do other than speed up spool and is the current setup upgradeable?

Turbo Timmy!

Love the the kit guy! The only thing that concerns me is the location of the oil slump? I is located so low and I am a little scared it could bottom out or catch a speed bump. Whats your take on that? also would it be able to relocate it somewhere else??

This kit will not have a oil sump system like the twin turbo kit.

I think VQturbotec was talking about the single kit which does not require a sump and pump. The twin kit does use an oil sump and it is located above the lower subframe support so you would have to destroy that first before you would damage the sump.We can relocate the sump is someone needed but so far it hasnt been neccessary.

The 61 is very close in size to the 35R.However,you can run a couple differewnt size turbine wheels on the 61 that you cannot on the 35R.The 61's have a different efficiency range so they will max out at 24 psi or so depending on the configuratiuon where as the 35R can run upto 35 psi or so before it is done. The spool-up of the turbos depends on the compression of the motor and the ball-bearing.On a high compressdion stock motor,we hit full boost at 3700rpms withthe BB turbos. These same turbos on a low compression motor wont hit full boost until 4700 rpms.

Edit: I just noticed that waaay slow spool w/o BB was for the 67. Still how is spool for 60-1 hifi compared with say a greddy or APS? Also, what does the BB option on the 60-1 hifi do other than speed up spool and is the current setup upgradeable?

The spool-up of the 61's will be slower then the Greddy 16gs and the APS GT25's.Those are tiny turbos and they spool quick. However,it takes more boost to make the same power as the 61's.For example at 8 psi we seen the Gt25s make about 400 whp.At 8 psi withthe 61's we make about 440WHP.

The Greddy kit has 18G's.

When you put up a slp with low 11's or high 10's then I'll believe you, otherwise you need to start offering driving lessons to those unfortunate individuals losing with 13-15psi on a built Greddy kit....
