I personally can't wait to get a true dual quiet set up with cats, from Motordyne. I was anticipating having to manually remove the interchangeable components to achieve the level of performance my set up is capable of, but this is a great option... (if implemented well, hopefully)

EDIT: just saw video - looks well implemented, if somewhat bulky... very fast.
As far as the valve itself leaking over time.... the only thing that can cause that would be a build up of carbon etc . You can just pull the valve off and clean all of the sealing surfaces!! Any part that has dirty exhaust running through it over time will get dirty and may require an occasional cleaning. If you do not feel comfortable doing that yourself you can always send it to us and I will be glad to clean it to new specs for you!!

Ok, I'm a little lost. How is this different from the open wastegate dumps I have on my car?

Wastegates are used to control the volume of air entering the turbo to control boost. If the boost is too high, they open and let exhaust bypass the turbo.

Exhaust dumps relieve back pressure in your exhaust system between the turbo and tail pipe. With an exhaust dump open you will make more HP at the same boost level due to less back pressure.

Cool. Thanks for the clarification.

So for a True Dual exhaust system we would need two of these valves?

Well, on any Z you want an X pipe... or something similar and I would just put one valve in the center of the x!

Looked like a nice piece except the pipe cut into you exhaust flow at 90 degrees which is not great for flow at all.
I have a pair of them and they are V-banded on both sides. You do not need to use the shown T-pipe. I welded the V-bands at angles. They do not leak and are built like Brick s-houses. Bought them 2 years ago. To bad they are not selling them anymore.

I like and have considered 3 inch downpipes with these right after and then a stock exhaust back.

I ran into this thread when I failed to find any ATP VES cutouts. I have a mazdaspeed6, so I'm completely in the wrong forums, but I'm definitely interested in a 3" cutout! I'll be keeping an eye out on this thread - hopefully the cutout is available soon.

can you post a video of the valve in action under normal "boost levels" such as using 12-18 psi of line pressure on your shop air line. How much line pressure was used in that video?

I am 'supposed' to be receiving the 3" versions of the valves today. If so I will post some pics of it in action at 15 psi!! It still opens very quickly!!

What if your x-pipe is located forward of the diff. Would it function as intended having the x-pipe located that far back?
