So they're actually adding a sensor in the fuel system to detect ethanol percentage and adjust accordlingly? Sweet.

Yes, all of the fuel and timing maps are adjusted automatically based on ethanol percentage. ALso boost levels will be automatically adjusted.

Pretty cool!

Sorry for the noobness, but what is e-85? I have never heard or seen gas stations that carry e-85.

Darren,

I don't know that it works on the 48 Pin unit.

How is he seeing his "WHP" level on the CAN gauge? Mine doesn't have that! Is that only with the 128 pin unit?

I wish Jason would fix his software and finish the developments promised years ago, instead of adding new features. It would be nice to have a working CAN gauge.

Anyway, nice feature. I need to learn about E85. Valero has taken over in the East Valley, so I'm sure there are a few with E85 nearby.

I have a 48pin and a CAN gauge on my Z, the gauge seems to be working find on my car. i also just some new updates on the ECU. so much more torque at the low end.

That Flex-Fuel is Sweet, Can you send me the info, on what i need to do to set up my car to Flex-Fuel, I have the 48pin ECU.

Also had a question on the Traction Control from ProEFI. If i have a Base Z w/out TC, will the ProEFI work on my car?

^def a good reason for you to dump that haltech and go ProEFI since all you run is E85. And with the big swings in actually alcohol content, that would make you tune much more safe

The can guage should work on all 48 units. The WHP and MPG etc features on the can guage are fairly new. You would have to have Jason do a firmware upgrade on your computer for this to become active. How far are you from his shop?

Here is a video of that same car at the track last Friday night. They drove it to the track with a mixture of pump and E85 in the tank.
