How did the nitrous jets idea go over Jeremy?

Where is the oil for the turbo coming from?

You could run an larger oil cooler, that would significantly lower pressure in the system and you cold tap the oil feed from that source instead of the engine, this would reduce oil pres and oil temps maybe low enough to stop from killing seals.

I know that I had so many problems with oil on my MR2 that we came up with an oil distribution block. I machined a block of Aluminum with 3 outlet ports and 1 inlet port coming straight from the head. one for oil pressure sensor, 1 port for Oil Pres Gauge and 1 for turbo feed. This allowed time for the oil to slow down in a chamber before being fed into the turbo. I mounted it about 3inches above head as well so at idle there would be even less pressure, Worked out great.

Ill find a pic of it and post her up.

thing to remeber is that on most of the built motors is that people replace the oil pumps with the revup pumps. That pump flows about 30% more than the reg. This prob. isn't helping the situation but should be done with the built motors. Just gotta figure out a way to keep the pressure down to the turbo.

Yep. I was just joking about the updates. I think people get the gist of what we're up against. At this point I think it's a combination of a few things. Nothing is really WRONG with the setup, we just need to find out how to manage the oil feed to the turbo.

I personally don't care if we run a smaller restrictor, as long as my engine has enough oil and it's not burning off or blowing by at the turbo.

Damn that's crazy, but a great idea. I'd like to run an oil cooler eventually as well. First things first, though, to get the car tuned and on the street...

Trust me I've been planning on it. heh. Too bad I missed the big drag meet the other week. I'm signed up for the November 24th Tampa Racing drag day so I'll definitely be running it then.

I'm also changing to a 7am-3pm shift at work so I'll be able to run it at drag and/or drift test and tunes at bradenton every week.

Craig/Jeremy,
can you at least tell us which pipes you replaced and how tight it was to fit bigger piping in?

Up pipe/down pipe with a simplified open dump. And yes, it was a very tight fit. For now I'm using some slightly modified stock intake piping (black chrome). I'll eventually be going with a full 3" intercooler/intake tract if we need to open it up some.

Not at the moment. I was considering doing a husky or getting a greddy can. I'd ultimately rather have the issue fixed completely before I try to put a band aid over it.
