Vrt.... :-(
I was at Jwolfe shop and was told by them they made a police report because VRT was GIVEN two complete turbo kit's that were SUPPOSED to be installed on cars for MAGAZINE builds, one was for the 350Z from (I think) Sport Compact Car mag. The Idea was to do a built motor with 700BB turbo kit that was to be raced against a Z06 Vette, the other kit I don't know, but that's what I was told.
With the way police are nowadays on investigating I doubt anything will come of it. I know where I live when my supercharger was stolen I was pretty sure I knew who stole it, even tho I reported within hours of being taken it was a month before they searched the kid's house EVEN THOUGH they had the right to search without a warrant because he was on probation for possession of stolen property, venting over.

I heard about what was happening with this car some time ago, probably around
the beginning of the year. Mike A. wanted us to make carbon doors and had offered the doors from this Z to take molds from. I could not believe what i was hearing. I saw some pretty amazing behavior at the track as well, driving customer cars to the track only to put the wheels onto his rumble bee. It made me sick to see it. Because those of us in this business work our butt's off to maintain our reputations, it makes us or breaks us. Using Tanner Faust,
(allthough Tanner probably did not realize), to drive his car. Using the legitimate reps of good people to prop up himself. Taking credit for achievements he had nothing to do with, but i think he can best be described as a predator with a serious jones for adrenaline. Whatever it takes.... whoever needs to be ripped off or lied to in order to keep the money rolling in.
To keep the jones satisfied. I know Jim Wolf is probably sick to his stomach as well. And i am truly amazed that Mike A. had some members hoodwinked for so long. I am reminded of a show i watched, called "Mind Control" with Derren Brown. Mike A. has a dangerous asset that is his charming personality.
His confidence in the face of confusion and suspected scandal was the norm for him. Hopefully everyone can put this behind them, knowing that this shop
was an anomally that should never have existed. And not lose enthusiasm for these great cars and the people who own them.
The word around the El Cajon water cooler is that Mike A. is now a Gigolo trying desparately to keep his very existence afloat. Casa De Alvarez is rife with drama. But you know, i think he actually likes it that way.

I know people who have been stabbed for much less than what he has done. And anyone should know, you DO NOT pi$$ off a German. We get our revenge just when the mark thinks things have cooled off.
What moron would cross a guy who has the spare change to ship over a new car from halfway across the world just so you can tune it? A dead moron, that's who.

His behavior is pathological, and he lacks the basic foundations of respect for others and their property that we learn early in life. He really does think it is okay to do what he has done to customers in the great name of "Doing Business". Somewhere, someone taught him that..... or he taught hisself that.

If i had that kind of cash or euro in this case to burn, and someone tried to work me like a research monkey in the state's, i would fly a goon out here to express my frustration. Mike A. should be very paranoid right now, if he isn't allready. And prison should be the last of his worries, honestly.

this is starting to become more ovbious as more stories come up and more poeple get pissed off at him for his criminal activities...
Hope you can keep us all updated with what happens to this douche... I personally ... would like to see him being publicly ashamed trashed for the whole contry to see it....not jsut peeps from the VQ community but everybody.
Not sure if this off topic but did anyone see the latest Sport Compact Car with the Yellow Skyline on the cover? Well, Eagle1's G35 is in there because of the AWD conversion. So while people in here know the truth about VRT (as we say it), magazines are still giving this company praise about their work. Is there anything that can be done to protect potential customers that are not my350z members? They won't have a clue.
Unfortunately, there is a communication gap between magazines, and tuning companies when it comes to issues like this. Where the magazines are too busy chasing quota's and deadlines. If D Sport or Sport Compact knew what was going on at the time they went to print, they might have pulled it if they had some backup articles to use. But they were entranced by the mystical magical Alvarez like alot of people were. The best way to protect customers is to have a system on forums to investigate advertisers thru communication. When i hear about the dollars being thrown at this guy, 20, 30 40K my god.

Darren (needed to be able to find humor somewhere.. )
