Default Intense Widebody G35/PowerLab GT35R/ProEFI ECU Makes 653WHP!

Hey guys, I'm pleased to share the good news from today's dyno testing with our Widebody G35 equipped with the following

- PowerLab GT35R Stage 1 Kit
- PowerLab Double Pump Fuel System w/ deatschwerk 800cc Injectors
- PowerLab 3/8'' Plenum Spacer
- ProEFI 350z/G35 Standalone ECU
- 8.5:1 Wiseco Pistons
- Saenz Rods
- BC Valvetrain
- Tomei 280 cams
- 3'' IntensePower.com Exhaust System

From the beginning everything was great, Jason from ProEFI came down today and wanted to do some pre-production testing on their new standalone unit, so we agreed since we've been aching for a computer that can take our G35 to the next level. Everything was plug and play there was no wiring, or modifications involved, so it literally took seconds to install everything. He asked us some simple questions like, "What size injectors are you using, how much boost do you plan on running, and do you have a return fuel system". After those few questions he had a base calibration that was running, idling and driving like stock! At first he did a couple of pulls at spring pressure (.8 bar) and the a/f's were rock solid 11.5:1 yielding an amazing 493WHP!

He fine tuned a couple of things and asked, "ok how much boost do you want to run" we replied, "we want to max the kit out and see what it's capable of". Since he tunes with VE he was able to input everything based off of the initial pulls to create a map that would sustain any amount of boost we wanted, and! Their ECU has built in boost control, so we didnt have to hook up any additional electronics to run our car to its full potential. They plugged their Boost control solenoid in line and commanded 2 bar of boost (29.4 psi) and proceeded to go on to the next dyno run. To our amazement it hit 2 bar, shooting towards redline it bleed off to 21 psi because the turbo was maxing out. In only 6 full pulls they made 653WHP / 608TQ on our G35

(I only had the dyno's in Speed instead of RPM, i'll be sure to get those up tomorrow at the latest)
Another cool thing they were testing today, is the ability to control variable cam timing. They had it working pretty well but not 100%, and instead of chancing anything they just deactivated it.

If any of you guys have any questions on release dates for any of these products we will be distributing both PowerLab and ProEFI ECU's. PowerLab single turbo kits will be ready for distribution by the beginning of 2008 and by Feburary 2008 ProEFI ECU's will be available for the 350z/G35. At this time PowerLab is working with ProEFI to supply a preprogrammed adaptive learning ECU w/ their stage 1 turbo systems

How much are you expecting the ProEFI to cost?

It will be extremely competitive with other systems out there. The High end unit will be competitive with the FCON V Pro and the Base Unit wont be much more then a UTEC. All of which will have more features and capabilities then either like adaptive learning, fault coding, nitrous control, boost control, traction control etc...

Very nice results!

Does your single turbo kit run on stock manifolds or aftermarket manifolds?

Great numbers-that powerband is "bleh" but when racing you should be able to keep it on full boil, very impressive.

The lack of midrange is from having variable cam timing disabled

Nice!!! Congrats on the big numbers. Glad to see an update and hear that the kit is getting close to production.

Just to clarify... Your site lists a GT37R on Han's car, but you listed on this thread that it's a GT35R. Han told me a long time ago at Nopi, but I don't remember. And I haven't been by the shop lately. So can you clarify this?

Edit: Damn! And I was thinking about stopping by the shop today too! Are you going to be doing more tuning tomorrow?
