PowerLab: Stage 5 Turbo Kit/ProEFI ECU/Intense 797WHP **Video**
how is the driveability of this setup, going to a lower CR, then not getting boost until the high rpms, id think it would make for a less than fun car to drive on a regular basis. congrats on sick numbers BTW.

Also the reason the turbo is laggy is because we found a huge exhaust leak this morning nearly expelling the entire left bank of exhaust energy. We're fixing it as we speak and should be back on the dyno tomorrow to see what this 76mm turbo will do!

one of the reasons i have been following this kit for a long time now its because it fits the 06's without modifications!!!! all this extra stuff are all pluses in case i decide to build within a couple of years or so. just hoping that the base tuner kit doesnt brake the 5500$++ bank.

i am not sure either...lol

this kit on the vq should put way less lag than that supra ...

^^ again...it wont be like a TT setup ovbiously, but i think you'd still be surprised at the spool up for such this size turbo and once VTC is fully in use, and also that supras have run this for years on the street no problem... and the VQ has better heads and more displacement....
Also keep in mind that this numbers were achieved despite the fact they had an exhaust leak, that was basically expelling half the exhaust energy...
how would you expect a 1.75L 3 cylender motor to spool a 76S ?
I think once they fix the leak we should see much better results re: lag related

Is this the kit YOU will be running Jorge? Coming to ZdayZ?
The thing with Supras is sure they lag, but they are GEARED MUCH better than us, they stay in powerband much longer once they get there, they can hit in 3rd gear what stock Z"s do at redline in 4th! Having driven an 850 TT with 700whp and STOCK gearing, it needed more powerband bad, you cant deny that this would be worse. There are solutions to this, Im just pointing this out for people that dont know....

yeah...illb e testing this with the sleeves, intensefab does quite an amazing job fabbing...... ill try to make it to zdayz. it'll be cool to put a face to a lot of the e-friends i have here... ma bb is due about a month after so will see...hopefully no issues
i agree with your other point too, but gear upgrades like FD are a decently "common" mod that a few people have done already
Edit. like what redman33 suggested, but still it will be ncie to see what the finals numbers are once its all done

Yeah it will both help and hurt you. Hurt you to the fact that you have less TQ multiplication, so low-mid range would suffer more, I feel slightly more lag in my Greddy kit in some spots I couldnt imagine with this. BUT-once in powerband you will hold your gears MUCH longer, especially with an increased redline. THis si aalso why I want to see what rpm's the power I speaking at and how much power is dropping off up top. the 3.3FD was a sacrifice I was willing to make and havent regretted. Id like a non biased driving review from a knowledgable member-no offense OP. Anybody in MD slated to get one?
