I guess that you can say that my patience is a flaw. It kills me that it is taking a long time and you are right that it does take out some of the fun from the hobby.

Glad you are enjoying your car, i remember when you had a FI G. Good to see that you stayed with the family.

You have to know it will take forever when you give the car keys to GTM, but I think this car finished will definately be one of the more fun cars in this community

It was a very tough decision whether or not i should engage with them. It took a few months of back and forth before i pulled the trigger. So far the ordeal has been acceptable and i don't regret it yet. I'm hoping that all this waiting will give way to something good.

Optimizing the compressor's pressure output leading to the intake manifold. Changes are done to piping, IC and possibly cams.

This phase is coming to an end at GTM and I don't have any impressive news to report. They did some testing with a smaller IC and straight pipe with little to no gain. I'm hashing through my thoughts and planning the next step.

What exactly is the reason for all of this extensive testing? Is the s/c running out of breath with your stroked high rev engine?

If you want more power, you need a bigger supercharger or you need to spin that one you've got faster (it's supposedly good for 700 hp, right, so put in the right fuel and up the boost). It's that simple. I struggled with all sorts of mods to get more out my 700bb turbos. Futile and $$$. 500 whp is still very nice. Get the car back and enjoy it.

I agree...I think 500whp is plenty fun; but it's only fun if you finally get to drive it..

500whp out of a supercharger setup in a VQ is significant...

This might be a dumb question but what is the weight of the car if you know it? I'm just curious what the avg weights are of the sc and tt cars after work has been done.

will be interesting to see some EGT values vs. boost & AFR. Maybe the CR 11:1 do not allow higher boost for saving misfire and/ or high temperatures?

If that is not the reason for the piping tests, displacement & flow of the heads (ported & big cams) will effect boost. Any experiences if milder cams will gain more power out - build a more efficient flow, less "leackage" due to valve lift & overlap situation?

Not sure at the moment. Haven't seen my car for 1.5 year so it'll be good just to reunite with it.

The reason for all this testing is trying to fulfill the potential of the blower.

I wish it was as simple as that. We've tried turning up the boost with better fuel and meth already. I'm sure i'll enjoy the car as it is but one side of me wants to make sure that no stones were left unturned.

I don't doubt that i will enjoy the car. Hopefully give it a few spin at the strips and track before i dive into it again.

You know, i have no clue. I know it'll be heavier and it'll throw off of the car's weight ratio but i highly doubt it'll impede my limited skills at the track.

No, it's a FMIC replacement. Car was tested with no intercooler.

You know, i have been going through a lot of things in my mind and everything you mentioned will be something i plan on addressing later on.

ok, plan is to gain most out of the GTM S/C kit.
Then the question is, where reaching the mechanical limits first :
1) input torque capacity : drive unit, belt system, parasitic losses
2) output airflow efficiency: blower size, fmic, piping, engine spec

any rating for these aspects from 1,5 year knowledge in testing the GTM-kit?

Went to GTM this morning and finally got my car back. Drove it for 6 hours to get back home. I'll report back with more details.
