Going NA, and I need parts with the highest HP and TQ #'s

Good to see you post in this thread.
If the stock cams for the 287hp engine are 238° duration, 9.2 mm lift (Intake), and 240°, 9.2mm lift (Exhaust). What are the specs for the cams you are using right now on your car?
Later

Which cams? Also, why is it everyone makes shorty headers and not the Long Tube. Crawfords seem to be the best shorty but I still always wondered why a group like them never went with a long tube as well. Any dyno info with Rev Up engines and the crawfords?

dourace zs=Crawford
Why don't most companies make long tubes? Simple....much more time consuming, far more limited market Like most of the NA mods, people are just not going to fork up proper long tube money
Can Doug make em? Probably...I actually messaged them a few days ago regarding some, no reply yet

There's a really nice article about tuning shops in Japan and what they did for the Nismo Festival. Most of these NA cars don't just do 300, they're well into the 300's. Not every shop posted the dyno numbers for their cars, but they do list all of the mods. Very interesting stuff. You'll have to do some serious engine work to get in the low/mid 300's, not that anyone on this thread had any doubts. I think almost all of the cars had new heads, titanium valves, forged pistons, and obviously cams.
Regarding the topic of tb's, one of the cars, Autech Tsukada, had an interesting idea. They used a Q45 throttle body, removed the MAF altogether and used an FCon Vpro to take care of everything in the ECU (physical restriction eliminated :-) Anyone know if the UTEC would have enough control to do the same things to be able remove the MAF? Sorry for the newbie question, I just thought of this while typind and haven't tried searching yet.
Anyway the article is here, hopefully I'm not just reposting something everyone already knew about, http://www.jdm-option.com/eng/featur...2/z33_v35.html

Hoping that he sees some interest and changes his mind.

the MAF is not really the issue, though at a certain point, the throttle body might be. Where is that point? Who knows. More than one of the high hp cars NA in Japan is using a stock throttle body
So, I think it's still anyone's guess at this point. Several of these cars are in that artcile, though that article is sorta antiquated at this point

Let me see if I can answer some of these questions. The cams we are running are 292, 11 mm lift intake cams 265, 11 mm lift exhaust they have to be advanced 8 degrees over stock after 4500 rpm, I would like even more aggressive cams but we are trying to do this and keep the CEL light off. On headers, our headers are quite a bit longer then most out there but there not as long as the xcerds, I don't think a longer tube header would help that much since our headers were eng dynoed against the longer tube headers and the short headers (Nismo) and they beat both of them. This was done by a race team and there very secretive so they would not tell me by how much ours beat the others, they just ordered 3 more sets. The MAF sensor itself would not be a restriction but the housing is so that’s why we have made a larger intake tube. Adam never got the message call me if you like 615-327-4159. Also I might mention we are still running a stock bottom end.

No that is the TS reflash. He was using EMU for additional fuel and timing control. He has since started playing with the UTEC.
