To answer some Q's-I NEVER had any issues with the crank pulley in over 30K miles with an increased rev limit. The tranny is not an issue at 400whp or even 600whp, just dont be stupid like me and abuse it so much, ie. not letting off the gas for shifting. And I too would like to hear what the OP has planned, many suggestions provided, some with dyno numbers and track times

Alberto you should just go with an Auto tranny! Just Joshing ya.

No lift to shift is fine if you have the $$ to support it.

OP the set up u have is nice for NA but the only thing I would change is the pop charger over the injen cai. CAI's have been known to lose hp/tq.

fact is it makes zero difference which intake you use....even stock

all are best seen as providing different sound - that's about it (at least till you do lots of head work)

Yeah but the pop charger actually gives gains. CAIs dont. But we all know the stock air box with an upraged filter is the best.

none of the intakes give more than a 1 or 2 hp gain vs another actually

can't effectively dyno an intake on an NA car on a dyno...there is no air moving

I just got my car back after getting the JWT flywheel and clutch installed. It seems like the car really takes off faster in 1st and 2nd now. I am not sure if this is because the flywheel is half the weight, or that the clutch no longer slips.

As of right now, this is what I am leaning towards.

Spacer - Motordyne 5/16

Exhaust - Injen SES

Pulley - UR Underdrive

Headers - Alphawerks

Gears - 3.9??

Cams - JWT maybe

Tune - Utec

High Flow cats/test pipes - I need to do some more research on this.

Intake - JWT or Injen CAI

Change alphawerks headers to something else like crawford. Alphawerks are a copy of DC. JWT cams will make most power in the top end. Do test pipes if u want the most power. HFC's dont add much. 3.9 FD is the best NA mod u can do. All the rest looks good.

HFC's most certainly DO add something - not as much as test pipes, but awfully close (with the right ones and the tune to go with them)

As for cams, JWT is very middle of the road - there are far better cams out there if you have the time/money to set the heads up to accodate them (the rewards are huge). If you want just a drop in cam without bother with headwork (not worth the time/cost in my opinion, but everyone has their own preference), JWT or NISMO work just fine

anyone else thinking all this is a waste of time? how about keeping everything stock and running turbonetics straight out of the box for a good 340whp?
