Update:

Pic:
1. I left the 2 bolts from AeroCatch out on the single lock and they started to rust a small amount. So I painted the tops with black rust protection.
2. Completed the second side.

Question... Why didn't you get the Plus Flush Arocatch pins? These are the Flush ones, which are intended to mount, from the underside of the hood...

Just curious. Nice write-up though.

Had these flush mount for some time so I wanted to use them and they mount as I mounts them not from the bottom.

Actually, they ARE designed to be installed from the bottom. What you have are the Aerocatch Flush pins which are different than the Plus Flush ones which are top-mounted. Didn't say you couldn't mount them from the top, just wasn't designed for that.

I am sure u figured it out in the past 2 months but figured I would enlighten others that might think the same.

You can use the stock latch but I dont as you no longer need it if you have locking pins.

The pins where easy to line up, you just bend the pins a little on the top to adjust for the angle of your hood.
