"Stub" aerials? Do they actually work??
Hi guys
I am looking to replace my factory aerial with a stub aerial for aesthetic reasons but wonder how effective they are
There are various sizes and some are only 3cm tall!
Can an aerial this short actually provide decent reception?
Anyone else have a stub aerial fitted?
Thanks
(Apologies.. I now realize I should have posted this question in the Audio/Video forum)

I ordered a S2000 antenna.
for about 8$.
its oem quality. looks nice. fits fine. and picks up fine.
I cannot answer questions about the random 100,000 difference ebay chinesium types..
but i can tell you an OEM S2000 is great.

I have a short antenna from a 2007 Dodge Avenger. I had one from a Honda S2000 but to me, the base is a little too large for the Z. The Avenger antenna fit perfectly. I think I paid $5.00 from the friendly Dodge dealer but that was probably 12 years ago. Reception is just like the stock antenna.

I have a 2" Perrin (only for shows) and an Acura RDX shorty for $18 that works great for daily.

+1 on what KornerCarver said.
Dodge Avenger antenna works very well, only runs for a few bucks, and appears OEM. Simply unscrew the OEM and screw on the stubby. I have heard the S2000 antenna works well also.
The reception is the same as OEM and your car no longer looks like a big RC car.
