Default what kinda wing do you guys want to see?

I just got in contact with a guy that could help me design/manufacture a mold for spoilers. I have a design in my head that i will most likely be using, but does anyone else have some requests?

Im not sure about the timeframe we are looking at...between driving my car, martial arts, working, building my sub boxes, and getting some nookie from my girl, i will have to work this in.

Shoot me some ideas guys.

I would like to see a spoiler similar to the g35c spoiler. I really like that one and the bavarani (sp?).

you mean the Balsarini?

Here is my idea...i like the Balsarini but it is not aggressive enough. I plan to make one similar to it but one that curves up an extra 2-4" at the tail end. Does this sound like it would be a good idea?

I agree a few more inches to the height would look great

yeah, I meant the balsarani, just couldnt remember the name. the few inches higher is exactly what I had in mind too, would look awesome, just dont go as radical as the veilside v2...

ok this is the approach i am going to take. I will be making a prototype for my car. When it is finished I will post pics and see what kind of interest there is. Hopefully there will be enough people to justify us making a mold. If not I guess i will be the only one with this wing (doesnt hurt my feelings ) but i would like to offer a good product for anyone that is interested. The guy helping me does his own body kits for mercedes, bmw, cadillacs etc.. so it should be high quality.

I will not sell low quality work!!

no NOT like the veilside one... much more similar to the balsarini, but curved up at the back... the veilside appears to shoot straight back, I am going for a spoiler that curves upwards like a little halfpipe..hard to explain i guess.

It will follow the lines of the car and not "hang over" like many i am seeing

3m tape is fine with me, just make sure you tell everyone at least 20 times to clean the surface before applying it so you dont get any complaints about peeling

sschmuve,
that is not quite the look im going for but i think it looks good. if this goes over well i will consider doing different designs too.

what do you consider inexpensive? i will definitely beat the prices of the other spoilers being offered.

What I really would like to see and would be quite cool is if someone could create a spoiler/wing that is somewhat like the Porsche spoilers-meaning they would raise at certain speeds and then lower at slower speeds. I think that would be really awesome. It probably would be too hard though to design a spoiler like that to work with the Z's trunk.

i am going for simple, functional, and pleasing to the eye

the raising/lowering thing could be done and probably wouldnt be that difficult...would require drilling/and or cutting the trunk though

Will it be functional or just look? For functional you need to test it in the wind tunnel or something.

ill try to get it as functional as i can... i will do some 2dimensional fluid dynamic analysis.....i dont have the time for a full 3d setup, but i might have some connections with a wind tunnel setup we shall see...no promises other than 2dimensional testing to see that it gets in the airstream

This is from Vizages

They want $570 for the wing. I think around $400 would be fair.

If you can make something similar to the Veilside versions 1 and 3, that would be cool too.
