Default 1X Varrstoen 19x9.5 TE-37 REP Matte Black

So I picked up a set of Varrstoen ES 2.2.2 last week and took it to the track the weekend after I got them.

Coming out the straight and into the chicane at the Streets of Willow, I bent the front passenger side wheel Didn't hit nothing, didn't touch the dirt... nothing!

Come home and the whole backside of the wheel is now an oval (you can't really tell on the outside).

So if anybody has just ONE wheel, let me know. I know it's a long shot but we'll see.

I think they're "fine" for what they are. Obviously though, there are better to be had for the price range (RPF-1's).

I almost totaled a civic on ROTAS because after all the lateral stress the center section bent and cracked breaking the bead on the tire and spinning me off the course in into a wall.

I recommend rpf-1 and a decent amount of other "cheap" wheels for the track, on the street use what you want but I'm just speaking from experience.

Thanks for the tid-bit.

Definitely be more careful from now on. I had RPF-1's before these and traded them off for 'em. Didn't think these were like marshmallows though considering from what I hear they're better quality than Rotas.

Honestly why would you even want this crap back on your car after your experience

Cause I'm not going to roll around with 3 wheels? If anything I would need to at least get the thing back into a set and trade them off to somebody who doesn't track.

In the mean time I'm going to grab the missing wheel and make my car at least driveable.

Good at least your going to get rid off them... Perhaps the wheel can be repaired any pics?

If I didn't track I'd keep them to be honest. I like how they look and the fitment is not bad. I don't feel guilty scuffing them or scratching them either.

But if it's going to potentially damage my car or get me killed, it's not worth it.

Pics will follow once I get the new wheel to replace the bent one. If I can't get it off locally I'll just purchase one new.

Some kids can't afford the real deal, people have to understand that lol.

Will be looking to trade the wheels again once I complete the set again for a set of 18"/19" RPF-1's or Volks... Thought these reps and Rotas were strong enough to handle a few track days from what I heard but I guess they're better off staying on the streets/local car shows.

Going to post a thread later for the FS/FT.

GLWS, they are great looking wheels always loved real TE37s and Volk GTS's that why i ended up with them on my Z, had Volk GTP on my MR2 scca car, and since then never had an issue.

I wanted to ask you if they were real TE's or not when i saw you at the track. If they weren't i wanted to warn you about them...then i forgot lol.

Haha, oh well.

Sh** gets broken. At least nothing else broke. Didn't know they did so poorly on the track though. From what I heard, it's the opposite. People say Rotas and Varrstoens do pretty okay on the track.

Anything replica was meant for one thing, to help you get the look ( not the performance) you want at an affordable price
