I just confirmed with the co-ordinator that the Drive In The Country is on for Sunday, April 29. This will be the third DITC. The DITC a few weeks ago had a low turnout due to it being Easter Sunday so the co-ordinator decided to do it again.
Meeting Place: Red Robin Restaurant on the north side of 40 Hwy just east of 291/470 hiways.
Meeting Time: Plan on being there by 9:30.
Drivers Meeting: 9:45 a.m.
First car(s) Depart: 10 a.m.
Cost: Free except for your gas and food.
How this works, at the drivers meeting you'll be given written directions for the route. This is self guided so you can either do it solo or get a group of cars together and go as a pack.
A navigator is not needed but is recommended. I did it on my own a few weeks ago and ended up missing some key turns because I was trying to drive and navigate at the same time.
This is not a rally where you're being timed. This is a drive on some terrific back roads in western Missouri at your own pace.
No need to pre-register. Just show up.
This is not exclusive to Z's or G's. Several clubs/groups have been notifiied. Based on the ones I've been on you'll see BMW's, Corvettes, Subaru's, Acura NSX's, and even motorcycles.
Based on the last DITC, the "Finish Line" will be a restaurant/pizza place.
Also, based on the last event, driving time was about 3 hours.
Unfortunately I'll be out of town and can not attend but I'll be there in spirit.

Sounds interesting. But since gas prices has gone up in the past month....I dont exactly have the extra cash to be throwing away on gas. Besides.....living in warrensburg is drive in the country enough for me.
