The two days I get to stay home from work and no one is posting on the boards. I'm bored as hell.

The bassani doesn't sound bad, seems to be a more deep tone like the Borla. Also...

+1 suspension.

Lol! TO each his own on exhaust! I LOVE my Hks exhaust! The test pipes definately add rasp but the power difference felt is def worth it. I've heard a lot of BAssani sound clips and the sound is amazing!

Speaking of to each their own. I want this:

I spoke with Tony at FI. He said he doesn't make these. It was a "1 time thing for an owner that came to him and shelled out some cash to get it custom done".... Hmmmm.... Well, this makes me want them even more so we talked about price. We came to an agreement on the price. And the only thing that is keeping me from doing it is that he doesn't have access to a 350. SO I'd have to go up there. Plus he said he wouldn't feel comfortable shipping it to me cause it may have alignment issues. He'd rather install it himself is what I gather from the convo. Anyone think driving to CA would be worth it? Opinions?

With fitment, quality of materials, cracking/leaking, performance gains/dynos, and sounds, nothing beats a product thats been through its initial run... and maybe in another revision or two. Not sure I'd want a one-off of anything. I mean, only if you have enough money to scrap that and start over if it isnt what you wanted.. but doing something custom, with one shot (so far away and no support after install), that seems sorta risky.. but your money and it would look sweet. Dunno about gains or sound, because it doesnt exist yet

I like the exhaust I have...most of you will probabley not like it, but it works (for what I do) and it has a very nice sound to it. It is almost stock sounding at hwy speeds and idle. Plus it was only $10

Well I just paid $10 for the turn down and me a buddy took off the exhaust and cut the flange off (so I can reuse it later if need be) and welded on the turn down. The stock muffer is really heavy. I lost .1 off my et and gained 1.5mph at centerville. That was the only thing that I did. Plus it was 20 degrees hotter when I ran last from my previous best Oh and "my better half" likes the sound...she daily drives the Z so it was more for that then anything....

The car that I co-drive has the same setup...and there are a few other Z's that autox that have the same setup(not locally).

$10 bucks, lol. wow no offense but that is some ghetto chit. why would you tuck your bumper to display that?????? To each their own.
Zach i can def say that your hks is the nicest in quality and looks for sure, very niiiice. I just dont care for the sound, it's a lil anemic for me. It takes away the deepness of the VQ. BTW we all need to hook up again.
On a side note thanks alot tim for dragging me to look at the z06's I should kick you in the nutz for that torture. After my house gets sold and lee ann and i are married im def going to be looking at one for sure.

Wait I'm confused, David are you running a muffler at all?

I also agree with Adam. I like the HKS exhaust, but the VQ sounds amazing with a deep quality to the exhaust. Too much rasp can be a negative thing imo.

Lastly, Adam I'm not doing anything this coming up weekend so we should all catch back up.

P.S. Brad, did you die last night?

No, no muffler. It is dumped after the resonator. It sounds stock but more pronounced.

David, your a mechanic. You'd know. Today when I was wromping the **** outta my Z, it smelled like burning oil during the romps. Cruising, it did not. Today was the first time I accelerated hard with the windows down and inside air turned off. Should I be concerned or is this normal for our cars?
Remember I have an 06 touring AT. TY in advance for anyone that knows. I only have 800 miles till warranty expires so if I can catch something early that'd be nice.
