Oklahoma Z's!
so I just got here in OKC for about 3 days on a work trip and I gotta say....okc has some nice lookin Z's. I can't believe the amount of Z's i've seen since I arrive last night. I wish wichita was a lil more like it here. I caught a glimpse of a nice red Z with blacked out wheels and black and red two tone paint job, and parked on Tinker AFB.....anyone?

The guys I know up at Tinker run a white, slammed G-35, a black g35, a black 350z with blacked out Infiniti Rays, and a brickyard 350z (but that dude's deployed, so I doubt it's out).
Once I get my Z back from getting a new door I wanna meet up with some of the tulsa z guys if theres any. I work at spirit aerosystems. Mine is daytona blue with g35 stocks and nismo v3 front bumper. And florida tags..if you see me. I'm usually on memorial dr. alot. Dont be afraid to stop me!
nice, but the one I saw wasn't a nismo...it had a black "stripe?" down the center of the hood. I wouldn't call it a stripe cause the first thing I think of is racing stripes, idk . But thats a nice nismo....I wish my girlfriend had a nismo....
I've seen his car at IFO and some other show before but don't know the guy
I wasn't counting that "brothers girlfriend" car because it's got a carbon fiber hood and roof cap. Those are 2 pretty big items so I'd figured they'd have been mentioned. Figured it'd had to be some other car.
I've been seeing a lot of 350z's lately.. mostly stock but still..
Saw a 350z going down n.w. expressway around 10pm tonight with leds or CCFL's inside the corner markers.. anyone here? looked good, couldn't really see anything else besides that since my windows were up (don't even know what color the car was)

Looking at a few Z's this weekend in OKC! So OKC guys, where would you recommend I take the Z's I'm looking at to get checked by a mechanic? Or do you think I'd be fine with just taking them by the closet Nissan dealer down there?
The best advice in the end... don't fall in love with one before you own it. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS be ready and willing to walk away. There WILL be another one. Get it priced how you want, in your range (I usually shoot for trade-in to individual seller pricing, not dealership).
Good luck!
I'd take one I was serious about to a mechanic, but not all of them. If it's a dealer, ask for a carfax. Ask the owner about it's history, then look for tell-tale wreck/cheap-fix signs. Overspray (on headlights, radiator, or exhaust), panels that don't seem to line up right, etc. Also... do NOT pay for aftermarket parts! The car is worth as much or LESS with aftermarket parts on the car... so don't let someone talk you into paying more just because it's got this exhaust, or that intake, or whatever (the one exception being a turbo'd or LS swap car).

For sure thanks, but I was talking more on the lines of reputable shops around the Edmond/OKC that I could take the cars I'm looking at to. I'm just not too familiar with the area, and I don't want to end up taking it to some half *** shop and get screwed over you know?
Yeah... I kinda figured that out after the fact. The trick will be finding a place that can get you in quickly I'd say. The only place I'd give a nod to over another shop would be Christian Brothers. Other than that... I figure they'd all give you about the same diagnosis capabilities. A basic car "check" is fairly simple overall and doesn't require a specialized technician.
Really hope this one works out though.
