Default Autocross on April 5th, St. Charles, MO

Gateway Autocross Association (GAX), in conjunction with NASA Central, is proud to present the first NASA-X autocross in St. Louis this Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 at The Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri.

GAX was originally formed in the 1970's. In 2015 it is being reborn to provide additional autocross options in the St. Louis Area. Gateway Autocross is presented by NASA-X Central Region. NASA-X Central Region is staffed by Dave and Beth Whitworth, Janice Rick, Chris Hammond, Carla Russo and Jose Hernandez.

Event Details
Date: Sunday, April 5, 2015
Location: Family Arena, St. Charles, MO
Cost: $35 for one session (morning or afternoon), $50 for both sessions
No Membership Required: You do not have to be a NASA member to participate

Registration for our events is handled on NasaProRacing.com, you can register in advance there.

Morning Church/Afternoon BBQ
As a new organization, we wanted to try a few things to make our events different from your typical St. Louis autocross. One of the big changes we’re offering is the ability to choose whether you want to run the Morning or Afternoon for an event, or even both. If you’ve got family commitments in the morning, or afternoon, you can choose to run the session that best suits your time needs. If you don’t have anything going on all day, you can choose to enter for both the morning and afternoon sessions.

Trophies
Stay till the end of the event to see if you end up getting a trophy! We’ll be giving out trophies for the top 3 finishers in each of the 11 NASA_X classes, as well as Top 3 finishers in the Index (PAX/SCCA) class.

How do I class my car?
NASA-X has it’s own points based classing mechanism for car classing. We are offering up the 11 NASA-X classes at our events, plus some custom classing as well. If you are prepped for SCCA Solo classes, you likely will want to enter our Index class. If you need assistance with figuring out the NASA-X classing, please fee free to post a question in our Gateway Autocross Association forum.

Tech
Our Tech program is a little different than you might be used to. Download/Print out our Tech form before the event (or pick one up on site), fill it out, sign it, and place it on your windshield in Grid at the event.

Easter Egg Hunt
Since our first event is being held on Easter Sunday, we figured we would do a little something for the kids in your family by hosting an Easter Egg hunt on the hill in between our morning and afternoon run groups. Bring your kids out and have a good time!

Why a new Organization?
Why not? We’ve decided that we thought we could improve the number and quality of autocross events in the St. Louis area, so we started up our own organization to give that a go. Your support and help in putting on these events is greatly appreciated! We value your feedback and will take all criticism and try to improve things as we build this thing throughout the year.
