Hey, Checking to see how many are in the Raleigh/Cary area. I had a debate on another forum and would like to set the record straight. Just want a run and to have some fun. I work at a local shop in Cary, we have a dynapack chasis dyno if that intrests anyone. I rarely see any Z in Cary/Raleigh.

not to flame or sound like an azz, but you keep bringing up the "puny BMW" with the "small engine swap"
I know youve hit the dyno and have results, why not just post them and bring it out in the open. Then we can all ooo and ahhhh at the awesome power, and then move on.
Theres seems to be a rivalry on the BMW side that they forgot to share with us. Noone here ever said we had the fastest cars on the planet(unlike some BMW guys i know) i love high HP in any car. But to compare a stock 30k car to a heavy Mod'd 45k car is a bit much. But to each his own, prove what you need to.
I'll be happy to bring our cars to a dyno or a track and compare results. then we can sit back and compare the HP to $$ ratio

You want to compare cars. This is a 1993 325is. I have a 3.0 but no FI or anything like that. There is no ooo and ahhhh at the awesome power. Your comparing a MILDLY modded 8k car to a 30K car. And for the HP to $$ Ratio, I am sure I will win. Please get your facts straight before you flame me. I was asking for a friendly race.

Don't get us wrong, we like to play. It's just that we're not stupid and what you're proposing smells like a sucker-punch. You're just being a bit too cute, a bit too coy about that "small" engine replacement, the "MILD" modifications.
We fully understand that there are a sh*t-load of BMWs and a lot of other cars out there that can hand us our ***, especially the ones that start out very well built (like the BMW) and have had years and $$$ to 'tweak' them just right.
We also understand that a hot-**** top-of-the-line 2003 M3 is $20000 more expensive and just barely faster than the 350Z, and it requires a computer working the clutch (SMG-II) to do it. I wonder what the numbers would be like if you turned off the SMG-II.

If you're interested in fair competition, we'd love to give you a try. I for one would prefer to do it at Virginia International Raceway April 12-13th where it's legal.
Oh, and just to make sure it's fair competition, please post the dyno numbers of those "MILD" mods, that "small" engine swap. You've been asked several times before. Our cars are fundamentally stock. Is yours?

No need to come here and start crap - that's exactly what you did over at "that other forum"...You got bored, and decided to move on to this board. Well, I saw all your TALK over at the other board, so please don't bring it here. You weren't here asking for a friendly race, you came here with the intentions to start crap. Want to start being friendly? Great! Welcome to the forum...

Edit: Also, we don't have the $hittalker like the other forum does...we've had our share of trolls, so we're just trying to protect stuff from getting out of hand. I went back and re-read your posts on the other board, and a couple people were eggin' you on to act the way you did...Just don't do the egging and you'll be fine.
Sorry for the immediate jump down your throat.
