Default Shops in Miami, FL

Those living in Miami, FL.....ANYONE know of a reputable shop that you take your 350z in Miami? I know about Japtrix but right now my car is misfiring in 2 cylinders, and a few other problems and Japtrix is just too far north for me to get my car there.... all the problems came about right after I got the e-manage Ultimate installed.....so far, im hoping, that the person I brought it to just didn't know what he was doing! Honestly I heard he was reputable, but he had no clue how to install the unit let alone tune it and the car was running perfect before the install.....so I want to know of anyone that knows a good shop in the Miami area that has worked with a 350z and hopefully has worked with the emanage. Id really appreciate it because I have to get my car towed ASAP. Thanks

MG

Obviously I should bring it back to them and they have to fix it, but frankly if the guy has no clue what to do, so id rather just bring it somewhere else because if they didn't know what to do from the start, then bringing it back to them won't is not going to change anything.

Get your money back from the first guy, or arrange something. They screwed up your car, don't just limp away!!

The guy had no idea what he was doing. If we bring the car back to him, there is no way he would admit to being wrong on the install. Im worried if it is an install problem this guy will fix it and charge COJ General for somethig else, IE. o-ring, compression test, and all the other stuff he suggested to do, without saying MAYBE he installed the E manage wrong. I think its best to go to another shop, fix it, and go back to the other installer and DEMAND his money back. If he refuses we take things to the next level.

If they are not familiar with the install it is probably the wiring, the instructions have incorrect colors for a couple of the wires, also they should not connect both the cam and the crank signals.

Good luck.

Hopefully it is the wiring....I mean, the shop didn't know what they were doing, and took countless hours on figuring out where the wires go. So im hoping by the end of the week it is all resolved.

Dude I live in miami too and trust me dont start hoping to random shops. Make the one trip to japtrix and have them fix it correctly. Roger knows the emanage VERY VERy well, just save yourself the time. I know its a bit of a drive, but AT LEAST youll know your cars taken care of and itll be working correctly. Thats just my opinion.

see I want to make that trip up to japtrix, its just this month im really pressed for money and it sucks this is all happening this month! But regardless, im not going to be able to get my car up to japtrix from south miami and cover the charges for fixing along with the rest of the financial obligations i have so that's why im looking for some place down here in miami that at least knows how to install the unit and I can get my car there and at least get it running on all 6 cyl. =) Does anyone know the address for speed lab?

I think theres an actual thread somewhere on this southeast region about somebody talking about speed lab. Just do a quick search and I know for a fact it has like a picture with the shop and the address on it.

btw sorry about your troubles I know it sux to have your car not running correctly.

Quick question... If I go ahead and take out the entire unit....just reconnecting all the factory wiring back together....if the misfiring is happening because of the messed up wiring, it should technically fix the problem right? Im just thinking that it might be easier to take out the unit myself and seeing whether the problem is because of the emanage before paying another shop to mess with the unit.... any suggestions?

Depends on what they hooked up, if they hooked up the Ignition harness they could have burnt coils in which case removing the unit will not fix the whole problem, if they didn't hook that harness up then you might be ok.
