I am currently on the verge of getting a Z and have been doing a lot of legwork going to different dealers and looking online. I am looking to buy new and was wondering what kind of experience have those of you who have bought recently had as far as pricing. I live in South FL and have gotten everything from right around sticker to "we can give it to you at invoice" but then tag a $600 dollar dealer fee which they say is "mandatory"...so basically 600 over invoice and this does not include tag or title.
The way i figure a fair offer would be invoice minus floorplan interest and holdback, then plus 3-5% profit.
I wouldn't mind the 600 dollar dealer fee which is all profit, if they gave me the car around cost....but making money on floorplan interest, holdback AND a 600 dealer fee?
That invoice plus the $600 fee price is more than what i could get the car new online for trough a broker so I know it's not a great deal.
Any good dealer experiences/contacts would be welcome as well as the ones to stay away from..
