Which dealer did you get your Z from in Arizona? Whos good? Whos not?
I am looking to order a Z in a few months and wanted to know what your experience was like with the Arizona dealers? Scottsdale dealers would be even better...
I went to one dealer and they had a big mark up, they were wanting 41k for a touring...I can't remember the name.
So who did you get your Z from, did you get it at MSRP?
Did you visit any dealers that I should avoid?
Just trying to get a heads up.
Thanks for any info you can give.

Also could you guys let me know a good insurance company in AZ? I have actually just moved to the US from Australia...so I have no idea about insurance over here. I hear it is quite expensive in Arizona, how much do you pay?
I got mine at ABC Nissan for a tad under MSRP. Overall they were OK.. thier service dept has been horrible though.
I'm 28 and clean record and my insurance is through American Family ...... am paying 180/mo. I get a multi car discount and also a discount for having home ins. with them.

Man that insurance sucks, thats about 2k a year...almost twice as much as most folks on this board are paying (from what have noticed is $1200 is the av.). I am the same age as you I have a clean record in Australia, I haven't driven much over here yet, left hand right hand difference kinda sucks, but I am sure I'll get use to it. I hope that won't jack the cost up. Anyway, I guess it is worth it
Thanks again. ABC sounds like one to cheak out, they are just down the road from me I think. I'm on Shea and N. 115th.

Welcome to Arizona! I bought from Midway Nissan (20 ave. and west Bell rd.) last October. I really had to cut thru a lot of bull to get them to deal. I was a cash customer and they tried every way they could to jack me around. An overall unpleasant experience dealing w/them. They ended up getting caught at their own game and I paid MSRP minus $750 dollars that the sales dept. had to pay for my extended warranty! I cannot recommend the sales dept. based on my own experience w/them. On the other hand, their service dept. is top notch and very responsive to the 350Z owners.

Thank for the replies. It seems like its kind of a personal opinion.
I have a heads up though, at least you guys didn't buy over MSRP, under infact! That's good to know.
Thanks for the welcome to AZ too
I love it here, I do miss the beach back home though.

I believe we have communicated before. I am at 139th st. and Shea. I preordered mine from Pinnacle in January and received it the first week of September. I paid MSRP, which to me was fair.
My salesman was Walter Dolan and overall he is top notch. I cannot tell you how many followup notes he has sent me inclusive of Xmas cards, discounts for service and recommendations for modifications.
That said, his boss tried in vain for over one hour to screw with me on my trade, but I do not know of a dealership that won't. With my trade I paid cash for the car, and the whole process took over three hours. Way tooooooooooooooooooo long for me! They tried to sell me the extended protection plan for $1500. I just did not feel there was value in this. My time is more valuable than theirs and this type of thing just pisses me off.
They showed me how everything on the car works, full tank of gas, made my first service appt. etc. all before I left the lot.
Service has been fantastic! My service advisor is Bill Majercin. One thing to keep in mind when you have service done on the car. The shuttles from the dealership that can take you to and bring you back from your home/work or wherever only go a certain distance. Since Pinnacle is the closest, this will be a time saver.
Also, their parts dept. has a good supply of personalized accessories fo the car, if you want to make it your own.
Happy motoring mate! and a Happy New Year.

I drive up Frank Lloyd Wright to get to the 101 all the time and I've never spotted Pinnacle, it must be on the other side of the 101. I will definitely check them out, as its literally just down the road, I will try to avoid that manager you spoke of.
I am uming and ahing whether I can afford a Z. I am thinking about getting a used VR4...but I am not sure if there will be much difference between the two cars, payment wise and insurance.
Do I want a 7 to 10 year old turbo car to hassle with? Or get the Z and not worry much about reliability. I know I want the Z, yet I want that turbo-throw-you-back-in-you-seat feeling.
Decisions decisions.
Thanks for the info, best wishes for the new year! Still haven't seen a Sunset on the road

I pre-ordered one through Brown and Brown in Mesa. Their fleet department was the first dealer in town that let me drive one. I paid MSRP (a first for me...).
The folks were polite and first-rate. I've had previous experience with Pinnacle and simply cannot recommend their sales group.
I'm 42 with a super clean record and my insurance quote was about $1100 USD a year.
Good luck and welcome to the Zone.

I'm 25. I get my Z on Monday, and I'll be paying 110/month. I'm on driving probation for a wheelie ticket I got (out in the middle of nowhere, nobody around, literally...the middle of the desert, no traffic, no nothing, Cop gives me and my friend a ticket that is a criminal offense with up to 90 days in jail and is an automatic 8-point violation which means it could have been a license suspension
...or else I'd prob be paying alot less--State Farm...been with them for 10 years, and thank the lord they didn't drop me for that.
Anyway, I didn't go to a dealership because they wanted 40k for a touring out the door. So I bought a used performance model with 2k miles for 29k$ (no tax, no destination fee, no worries because of the factory warranty, and a better interest rate because I went through my bank for the loan...woohoo). Getting title on Monday. If your issues are with cost, I'd try finding a slightly used one around here, unless you must have new. Save thousands in tax alone.

I do have an opinion on the B&B system... it has not really changed anything in terms of sound or performance. However, the pipe used was 1 3/4", and they are going to go back and make a 1 5/8" set of headers and will test that. Since they are working with me on this, my opinion for now is neutral.
