Wow, how did I miss this thread?! Glad you're coming home for good...now you'll be able to join us on some drives this summer!

I don't know the answer to your question about how long your drive out will take, but I hope you make it here safely.

Like 3 or 4 times. Here's the sad part, I can't remember in hours how long it takes. Every time I do it's taken slow and easy, and usually three days. From LA we usually go until we reach Flagstaff, and the next day to Alb and we only stop there for the night to see in-laws, and then Alb to Denver is around 6.5 hrs with one refueling stop. If you don't stop in Alb it will be an easy two day drive with about 12-13 hrs of driving each day I guess. Hope that helps at least a little.

I can only speak of the I-40 route in hauling my racecar back from Phoenix. From Flagstaff, it's probably 14 hours driving at 65-70 MPH to Denver. Be sure to check the weather report- I've been in some WICKED snowstorms across I-40 and it can get treacherous in a hurry!

I took the I-15 to I-70 route for the JGTC event last year and it was definitely shorter and quicker. Richland, UT is about the halfway point from LA and is a good place to stop. The weather looks relatively good here on the plains, so good luck!

Thanks guys, I've been keeping a close eye on the weather on both routes. It looks like the mountain roads for I-15 to I-70 is clearing up. Hopefully I can take that route.

Resolute: You want me to stop by your in-laws that way you're set for one more year?

Man I've been slipping... I'm going to Seal Beach the first weekend of April and should have been reding up on the route. Can't wait to get the Z at sea level.
