At the start of this thread I mentioned that in past years we took advantage of a promo deal to get free Friday tickets. Unfortunately, Bridgestone confirmed today there will be no coupons or other promo discounts for this years' Denver GP. It's not a total loss- Friday tickets are usually the cheapest (starting at about $8) and many reserved seats go unused. If anyone finds a source for discounted Friday tickets, post 'em here.

As for Friday, August 11th, let's meet at parking lot of the church just west of the I-25 and 23rd Avenue interchange. I'm thinking we get there at about 10 AM and get everybody together before we move closer to the Pepsi Center for parking. It's all pay parking so bring some cash for that as well. We'll meet GaryM05 in front of the Pepsi Center at 11:30 am, so slather on the sunscreen and get ready for a HOT, FAST and FUN time!

 

Hey guys, I will keep you posted if I am able to head down there. I might just have to skip out of work, but may end up meeting you at the track somewhere. I will call Gary to find where you are if I am able to come on Friday.

Sorry I won't be able to get there after all. My schedule changed today. There is a meeting on Friday that requires my presence so I've got Thursday off instead. Hope you guys have a good time roaming the paddock. Take lots of pictures and be sure to post them.

So Joel will have one of the best seats in the house (on course, behind a impact barrier), Craig can't do it and Brian is a big maybe. Anybody else going to meet me on Friday at 10 AM?

From the original list of those who were definitely coming, can I hear from Abishop, Colorado S14, Bamyi and Kaiser? If no one else is showing up Friday, I'll make alternate plans.

I was planning on going with a co-worker Friday afternoon anyhow.. I work downtown and take the lightrail. I know I can get off of work at 12pm, but I will see if I can squeeze another 2 hours and get off of work at 10am...

I may not be able to meet up in the parking lot (and I will not have the Z), but I may want to get a contact cell number so I can meet the group inside.

Keep me posted, I need a racing fix..

I will be down there, but not until later in the afternoon, maybe like 3:00pm. Sorry, I would like to come earlier, but Sarah's friend who has my free tickets doesn't fly in till noon. They then have to have a girls luncheon, and then we are heading down.
This is a girl who Sarah used to work with, but she moved away. I guess she got hooked up with some guy who is the crew chief on Jimmy Vassar's car and so therfore she said she would get me set up with some free passes for the weekend.
If you are still gonna be down there and someone has a cell number, feel free to PM me it and I can call you guys when I get down there. Hope you all have a good time in case I don't see you.

Brian- The only other person I know going the rest of the weekend is GaryM05. As for Friday, I purchased four tickets today and have two available (one is already reserved for DevildogC01) tomorrow. So if either Fizz2 (Chris), Abishop or anyone else wants a heavily discounted ticket, give a call (before 9 AM) or see me tomorrow at 10 AM. It's going to be difficult to hook up once we get to !he track, but I hope to see more of my Z bros tomorrow!

Well, something came up, i still will try to make it though.... if not enjoy with out me!

 

We had two other 350Zs show up this morning (Bamyi and Devildog CO1) and took adavantage of $5 tickets and FREE parking! Met up with Gary M05 and had a great day watching a variety of racecars in motion and in the pits. Friday again proved a good choice with a more relaxed atmosphere, smaller crowds and plenty of time to talk about cars. We missed catching up with Mudd, but he made it out later in the afternoon and we had no way to find him.

Wished we had a bigger group for this meet. Did any other Z drivers make it out?
