TC Performance - Greddy TT 350Z w/ UTEC Install
Welp, I finally bit the bullet and after a very long time of staring at the turbo kit in the closet I decided it was time to just say ahh hell and get the kit installed . If none of you guys have ever heard of TC Performance before, definately look into them as they are a superb shop and definately no stranger to the 350z here in Colorado. Tobi (the owner) is doing the install for me and he will be tuning the UTEC to his ghandi status.
Some specs of the car - stock block (88k miles - compression and leakdown tests checked out fine), nismo cams, borla TD exhuast, ur pullies, crawford z plenum and kinetix test pipes.
being installed - greddy tt kit w/fmic, SVRT wastegate dumps, 1 step colder plugs, nismo thermostat, blitz turbo timer, UTEC, JWT oil pan spacer, walboro 255 lph fp, Phunk's shielded CAS wire, and I may have forgotten something or another.
Here's just a couple pics from the undergoing install:
Pan and spacer ready to be installed.
Right side of pan with spacer will need to be bent to clear subframe for turbo drain.
Left side of pan also.
Heat wrapped fuel lines.
Clutch and both manifolds installed.
Right side...

It's about damn time!
(That's coming from the guy who had his shiny new Volk wheels sitting on the living room floor for about 4 months before actually putting them on the car).

LOL my sentinments exactly Gary
Devildog: You won't see me at the track.. but you can definately catch me on the cruises
Abishop: Thanks, they definately have been taking great care of my car and doing a great and highly professional job.
Update from my installer today:
Today's update:
1 bloodied knuckle (now all but 2 are ****ed up)
1 puncture wound
1 lump on my skull
2 new special tools made
2 turbos mounted
Got the turbos in, mounted and plumbed for oil today, got the clutch finished and tranny back in. Here are the pics. Greddy has a ****ty install manual so I am basically winging it at this point. I had to make some tools to get to the bolts mounting the turbos to the manifolds. They are a tight fit. I have come up with a few things that will keep it reliable like securing the oil lines to the block to keep them from rubbing through anything.
Left side turbo mounted, charge pipe adapter installed.
Right side turbo mounted, PS line relocated and covered for protection.
Now the money shot of the day...

Congrats Justin, it's looking good. I can't believe that you let the kit sit around for so long. I would have at least kept the turbos on the coffee table for a conversation piece. Keep posting pictures

Good luck on all this, Juztin! Glad you're getting an experienced tech to do the install and tune.

Juztin and USMANASIF: I remember in a previous post you guys said that you work together. Another "Small World" coincidence, my brother recently asked my if I knew a USMANASIF from the 350z site. He said that he use to work with your wife.

oh yeah, finding out that Usman just worked a few cubes down was a real small world moment lol. I remember I started seeing this nice brand new looking red Z in the parking lot w/ the nismo wing etc and was thinking I wonder who that is. Weird stuff David!

P.S.: He said you love your Z more than your girlfriend. I have email to prove it!
