The z club is going to the Harry Matthews collection this saturday the 21st. It's a collection of race cars maclarens, indy cars, hot rods etc.

The details are on page 3 of the Odometer. They only allow limited time to tour the collection.

Darn I dont have java on this computer so I can't see the article. What is the address, what time are you guys meeting up there, and how much is addmission?

 

I've been down to visit the Matthews collection previously. It's truly impressive. Keep in mind that some of the Can-Am McLarens they have on display were once some of the FASTEST road racing cars in the world (eclipsing even the F1 cars of their day)! To have such an array of cars right in our backyard is mindbending!

 

Juztin if you want to meet me at the shop a few minutes early I can take you down there. It is litterally a stone's throw from my shop.

I don't think so. If there is it might be $5. They are only open by appointment for car clubs on the weekends. And only for a little while. It's not like the Clive Cussler where he opens it up for the public and charges for it.

I'm not sure if there will be any other clubs represented like there was with the Cussler collection.

 

Last time I was there, it was a $5 "suggested donation". Truly a pittance for seeing such so many notable pieces of motorsports history beautifully restored. Have fun!
