What are you guys talking about with the snow on the roads? I was still passing SUV's this morning on my way to work
David
LOL- maybe we should do some of those accident avoidence exercises when it's snowing! I'll set it up on the launch pads coming onto the front straight

Ha! I'm not sure my tires could take that. This was the first track day for me where my rears took it harder than my fronts. I guess that's the result of a) getting my new suspension dialed in, b) installing the LSD so that I could get on the gas earlier coming out of corners, and c) new cam, ignition, carbs, etc for more HP.

Nice problem to have

What the hell happened to ol Don, aka Peterputter anyway? Havn't heard or seen of him since I bumped into him at the Denver Auto Show last spring.

Rear tire wear could be due to the high speed nature of PMI. It's quite a bit different than SCR or the Highway Patrol track. You might have noticed the better you get at PMI, the faster you reach for the loud pedal!

It's been over a year since we last saw Peterputter on a drive to Aspen. If you recall, he'd just got his Brickyard back from the bodyshop (shaved and re-painted) and wasn't too keen on getting it chipped up again. He was pretty heavy into his new GF, so who knows what happened to Don after that...?

Didn't he get in a wreck about a year and a half ago? Maybe he decided not to keep the Z after that. Just speculating.

Yeah, but I have seen him a few times since that wreck. I know he had the Z as of last spring. Maybe this thread will cause him to make an apperance.

Something out of the ordinary has caused Peterputter to go MIA. Hope it's not simply because of work or that he sold the Z!

Back on topic- I, for one, am glad we're not trying to make the drive to PMI today or tomorrow. The weather is clear and temps are rising, but another cold front will pass through tomorrow (Sat). I'd not sure how eager any of us would be with doing accident avoidence practice (besides Bottom) all day!

Default 2007 PMI changes

From the PMI website:

"Beginning April 1, 2007 all persons wishing to rent track time at Pueblo Motorsports Park must show previous classroom experience or have attended a safety class at Pueblo Motorsports Park. As previously announced a 4 hour basic safety class will be offered at Pueblo Motorsports Park, after which the student will be issued a card stating they have attended a safety class and can book rental time.

The date of January 1 has been moved to April 1 to allow time to attend a class. I will prepare a schedule of class time for bikes and one for cars. If you wish to attend one of these classes, please let me know at ene5348@yahoo.com or call me at 719-240-4132 or 719-647-0937.

The cost of the class is $199.00. This fee will cover 4 hours of instructions and 4 hours of track time."

Ahh that sucks. Such is life, least its not 400 and you can race the whole rest of the year at the least. Will this card rollover year to year? Makes it easier to deal with for sure.

I'm in! Should we get organized and contact them as a group?

Hey Guys,
I promised i would post this, and sort of forgot about it. Really good map of PMI i came across that i think is real good for looking at your rough line and to keep an idea of the road layout of how the turns work (mostly 5-7 since most maps mess that one up.)

The costs at PMI keep going up. I wonder if any improvements are in the plans or are they just making more money. It would certainly be nice if these increased costs were accompanied by at least some promise of much needed improvements. David, have you heard of any changes along those lines?
