snow anyone?
This was the view when I opened the garage this evening after the storm passed:

Unfortunately, wife's car wasn't so lucky. Their offices closed at 9am yesterday, so she was home practically just a few hours after the blizzard hit, but the accumulation was already so much that her car couldn't climb our driveway and had to be parked right across.
This is what we discovered after the storm. Car is barely recognizable (one in the middle):

Front view:

But atleast we are not as unlucky as this car's owner. Yes, there is a car under there. My only 2 clues were the barely visible third brake light and left side view mirror:

I've been driving around every day of this blizzard. Traded in my old jetta for a new Subaru Outback last month and I am not regetting it one bit.
My friend was was going to be stuck here in Colorado as his flight out to VA got cancelled and the next one he could get would put him back in VA midnight Sunday (XMas eve).
Yesterday morning we shoveled out of 4 foot snow drifts on my driveway, and 50 more yards of the same stuff from my cul-de-sac to the main street. Still hasn't been plowed and its a nice hill but AWD goes up just fine. Enough people had driven on in that it was no problem. We picked up some of his colleagues at their hotel, went to work, dug out their rental car at sent them on their way to Salt Lake City. All 3 are flying out of there this morning and afternoon to their various destinations. Home before Christmas, hooray!
My Z is taking some R and R in the comfort of the garage for a while.

Four foot drifts at my place. The snow plow got stuck trying to get down my street, so another one was brought in last night to get it out, but no luck. So then this huge tractorwith a massive v-shaped plow on the front showed up and cleared the street, and a bulldozer came and got the first plow out. Made for some good old fashioned redneck entertainment. As far as the Z, it was out in the driveway and was completely burried.
David, sucks about your car. I've had to do that twice with my Z when I first got it because I couldn'e get out of the parking lot at work, and just left it there overnight.
