Sorry guys, all my fault. Only if I knew posting the weather here creates wet days for Denver. Hey, What do we post to get good dry days? Would this do?

^^^LOL!

It is disheartening to see Saturday's forecast for sure. That was one of the things we were afraid of way back when the date was first proposed some months ago, although I doubt anyone realized at the time that the day after is Easter and not all members would be able to make it that day either.

Brian is correct; if it rains here, which it looks like it certainly will, then higher elevations will have snow and that isn't something we would want to be stuck in.

So what do y'all say? Should the drive be postponed by quite a bit to guarantee summer-like weather? A month? I think we need to be practical here so members can make other plans for the weekend now instead of finding out on Saturday morning that weather isn't going to improve.

Maybe the following weekend if Sunday is bad for anyone? I know I have nothing going on for Easter so Sunday for me is no big deal.

Yea please dont put it on easter sunday. waiting for a month or a week is fine. But I say we wait until saterday to see, because forcasters in colorado are very inaccurate.

I looked up the weather for the high altitude city that was mentioned before, it does say scattered snow showers, however the chance of precipitation is only 30%.

I vote to wait to see what it says on friday cuz I really dont trust weather forcasts in colorado until the day before. Although having a plan B just in case is a good idea

I have to agree that we should wait till Saturday to make the call. It's not often we have a big group like this. Worst case scenario we should still have lunch or something and reschedule the cruise for another Saturday a month out or so.

^ good call. Colorado weather changes, it could be nice enough for a cruise, and if not we should all get together just for lunch or something.

has anyone considered and alternative route that doesn't include mountain passes? i realize the point of the cruise was to hit the curvy roads, but a 5280' cruise might be doable on Saturday.

Ok, agreed then. Let's wait and see 'til Friday. Otherwise, we'll postpone it a few weeks. It will always be impossible to guarantee weather of course, but at least next month we know it won't snow, even if we get hit by rain.

I also propose that if we change the date, we have a backup already in place as well, so everyone can plan accordingly. So something like a sat/sun combo should work for most people.

Id say hold out for weather as well, ive seen reports for snow then it ended up being 60 that day. ive heard reports for 60 then woke up to see a foot of snow outside. Never can tell, i say we build a plan be in for lunch. A D&B meet or something of that nature. Always a good backup plan.

Should we plan a place to meet in the afternoon of Saturday ahead of time in the event of inclement weather. Maybe a place with a parking garage and a place for lunch?

Just a thought, trying to be proactive. I would still like to get together regardless of the weather.

I'm with Mudd. In my 4 years with the Z groups we have never had 23+ cars.
Let's postpone NOTHING. We will meet as planned and decide where we go from there or no drive altogether. We need some pix for MileHighZ!!!!
So same time same place?

I'm up still for coming up for lunch. Really like to see everyone before I leave for a year. Maybe Dave & Busters?

Here is my proposal, as much as i HATE the parking ***** at Dave and Busters, everyone here knows where its at, its covered, and we can all go get grub at Daves without much hassle. If we wake up to find rain on saturday, we head to Dave and Busters. Post confrirmations to this board in the morning denver guys so that the springs guys know whats up. I have roberts number so i can give him a ring to let him know the deal but if anyone else in the springs wants a call let me know. Assume meet at the cruise starting point off 470 unless denver has rain. I plan on coming out rain or shine since i wanna get together and meet everyone and get that turn out we havent had in so long. Rain or shine! Like burn said, we need MHZ photos!!!

D&B was the first place I thought of as well when covered parking was mentioned. Whole-heartedly agreed.

Checking in, sorry the shops address is 64 S Federal Blvd, Denver, CO 80219. 303-922-6681. Cell is 720-560-7434.

I got the bad news my LSD wont be in on time or my wheels I am rollin on some 18" stockers. Sorry guys tho the Z will be clean this time and lowered I am goign to be testing out this suspension combo Espelir springs with the tokico d-sport struts, till my custom coilovers are done. I got the springs on waiting on the struts, the ride is stiffer for sure handles much better and not bouncy.
