Dude, any time you post hot pics like that, it's ok to go OT as far as I'm concerned. I mean, at least you'll look really good in that car when you die.

Well, there's a Seven-Eleven on the West side of Powers and Research, want to meet up there? We could take Powers N to 83 and up to 225, or just take Research to I-25. Either way is good.

it's 33 miles from chambers road to byers, so factor that in. if you meet at 9:30, even running 75, giving a few minutes to get organized and say hello, we'd need to leave right around 9:30 so Bob isn't wasting time waiting on us.

i'd suggest if you want to shoot the breeze to adjust arrival times accordingly.

Here's the diner Bob will be. He has a few others joining as well. So it will be a rather large group.

I also have the track land plotted as well as the shooting range lay out.

If anyone wants to be there earlier, I can be there whenever. Looks like it's going to be a nice day too.

Well, I guess we're leaving the BK to crazan to the diner, to meet Bob and caravan to the track? Is this right?

If so, then I guess we should head out by 8 am. I can meet you at the 7-11 by then, and we should be able to make it to BK by 9:30 easy.

Just to clarify:

Let's meet at the BK at I-70 and Chambers Saturday morning. I plan to be there around 9-9:15 AM to visit with everybody before we get going. We'll leave no later than 9:45 AM for Byers and will meet Bob at the infamous cafe. Bob tells me the roads are all paved on the way to the track.

Not sure what everybody wants to do afterwards, lunch? linner?

The diner is "ok" for a greasy spoon. I'm not sure if Bob has been to any of the other places in town. There are a couple of places just south of I-70 that you can see from the exit ramp.

Any idea what time we would be wrapping things up in the Byers area? I'm hoping to come, but I've got something scheduled for early afternoon on the north side of the metro area.

Saturday's tour is an open timetable. If you've gotta leave early, you know it's not that far back to town. So bring that NISMO Z out and let her see where she'll be frolicking in the future!

Thanks, Darrel. I was speed-reading through all of the posts in this thread and missed that little tidbit!

I'll be there tomorrow -- looking forward to seeing everybody!

Good to see so many turn out for this. It was nice hanging out with the Z crowd again. Can't wait to see everyone out at the track in the future.
Usman, nice to meet you finally. Sorry we didn't get to finish talking about your 06. I'll send you a PM on what I was trying to say.

I think there is great potential for this site. I like the elevation changes. I can't remember the turn number but there was one where you are going uphill then approach a downhill while turning left. I think this will be a fun turn, but I also think alot of people will do off-roading at this point cause you can't see the downhill left turn when approaching it.

Bob and his friend were great. I'm glad the town is welcome to the track and I plan on thanking them by gasing and spending money in town whenever I get the chance.

Like bamyi said, the elevation changes look really good - even better in person than on the topo map. The drive out is quite easy - I can't imagine there is going to be much traffic once past the 225/I70 interchange. It was good being part of the pack moving along at 90+ too

Good to see everyone again as well. With a little luck we'll all be out on the track next year.

I think there's potential for HPR to be one of the great tracks in the U.S. With a long straight, fast turns, slow turns and interconnected turns- it means driving skills will be at a premium. Get ready for some lessons on how to nail late apexes at this track! I can already sense the character of this track will be demanding, but lots and LOTS of FUN. This will be our playground for years, and possibly decades, to come!

Thanks to Bob Alder for his time today! Also, good to see everybody out on a nice fall day and looking at the future of front range motorsports. It occurred to me that the movie phrase, "if you build it, they will come" could apply at HPT. Whattya think?
