I'm presently involved in converting a former 2006 350Z showcar into a T2 SCCA racer. There are several NISMO components and other bits and pieces I'd like to put up for local sale. Being primarily used for display, this exhaust system is essentially brand new.

Sorry, it's 54 pounds (as measured in the Fall '03 exhaust shootout of SZM). Corrected in OP.

since we can assume you took it off, are you offering install service on this, say on a saturday morning sometime?

 

Sorry, wrong assumption. The exhaust remains on the Z while we prep it for installation of the rollcage. Between work, racing and car prep, I've barely got enough time for anything else! I'd be willing to do the install, but the price would have to go up.

dave, do you have install guide, or is this relatively straightforward?

 

It helps to have a FSM and follow the diagrams. Since this is a catback exhaust, it's relatively straightforward. For those not mechanically inclined, it's better to have a muffler shop do the install.

 

If you have access to a floor jack, jack stands, WD40, Metric sockets & wrenches and, can unscrew a bolt & nut I'd rate this as a 2/3 out of 10 on the difficulty scale. The hardest parts is removing the stock muffler from the hangers.

Dude, I would jump on this in a second as its the cheapest one ive found in a month, but I just dont have the funds right now as im a starving college student =(

Month to month in a half id buy it from you if you still got it though! But hopefully for your sake, you have it gone by then.

WD40: most important part in exhaust removal!!!! Those nuts/bolts get rusted tight pretty easily. Best advice is to jack up the car, spray every nuts and bolt involved with the exhaust with WD40, let it sit for a couple of hours, and then try to remove the nuts.

 

It is soooo tempting........

 

I might add onto that PB Blaster, it gets to the stuff WD40 will never get to. I live by it!
