Default good body shop

I am looking for a good body shop to install a veilside v3 kit. I am looking to have the widebody flares installed and molded to the body to make it look as one, then painted. Any help would be appriciated.

have not heard from anyone. called 20/20 autobody in city of industry ca. they did one for a customer that was featured in turbo magazine. they told me that if i have the widebody molded to the body, that it will definately crack. they said that the one that was featured in the article was a "trailer queen" and was not suitable for street use. does anyone out there have a veilside kit with the widebody conversion that has had any problems with cracking?

You will always get some cracking on fiberglass aftermarket parts. The vibrations of everyday driving will take it's toll, it's just a part of the game. You will need repairs done occasionally to keep it looking good. When looking for a "good" bodyshop you have to interview them and let them know exactly what you are looking for. I have been to 3 here in AZ and 2 of them sucked, the third was pretty good. I am overly **** with who touches my car tho. I dont reccomend bodyhops as a general rule because they might do a good job on one car and the next could be a disaster, you just never know.

That is why when you interview them you make sure it is someone you can work with and who will work with you. If you go for the cheapest place, that is what you will get, the cheapest results. Make sure they are willing to do the job over or correct anything you do not like and make sure they know this up front and you get it in writing, this way the shop manager will be all over your car as well making sure it is done right the 1st time. They do NOT want to re-do a job because it costs them a mint to do.

They need your job, you don't "need" them since there are many places you can go... Make sure you do your homework before you pick a place.

Good Luck.

I think the cracking problem lies in the bonding of fiberglass to metal or urethane. When you bond 2 different materials together, they expand and contract at different rates

Nope... I have bought a couple of parts from Intense but they are pretty much on the other side of the world from me (I'm in Glendale). I have gotten most of my paintwork done in Scottsdale.

Sorry about that then

To the OP, I know Intense has ther own custom body shop. I actually saw a Z there the other day getting dropped off to get the full V3 kit installed.

There are a lot of good shops in Scottsdale as well. As Triji said, do your homework before you drop the coin.

I can recommend a bodyshop for the OP if still interested...

Try Drew Brothers Customs...

Call Rob @ 480-785-2345

They installed a full kit on my Hyundai Tiburon and it was flawless ( paint match was dead nuts on as well, and it was an off color called Mystic Teal ), and they just did the front end of my G..

I can post pics of both if interested..

They are a bit pricey, but I guarantee you will love the work they do...
