Default Colorado Foothills Drive, Sun 8/29

Gary’s Mountain Drive inspired me to set one up for this weekend. This will be a short Foothills Drive on Sunday the 29th of August beginning at 9:00 and ending around lunchtime. I just got my new Nissan “Band-Aid” tires and I wanted to stretch the legs of the Z on some twisty roads this weekend.

My plan was to go West on 6th to the Lookout Mountain. Then head up that road, avoiding all the bicyclists, and stop at the top for a couple minutes. From there, I would like to go to I-70 and over to Evergreen and down the Canyon road to Morrison. Depending on the time, head back up the Canyon road to Evergreen and then cut over South to Conifer. From there I would like to go East on I-285 and over to Deer Creek Canyon. The drive would end up at the Ken Carl valley exit by C-470.

If anyone is interested, we can meet at the Colorado Mills parking lot and go from there. I apologize for the last minute posting. It should be a nice day from the weather forecast and hopefully a nice short drive in the Foothills.

Sounds like a fun drive - unfortunately, I have plans this weekend and won't be able to make it.

I hope you have a good time, though!

David- Sorry to send in my regrets as well. I'm preparing to leave Monday on a 3,400 mile trip to and from the East Coast. I'm driving my C3500 Crewcab dually and 24' enclosed trailer, so believe me, it won't be nearly as much fun as driving the Z. If it wasn't for that, I'd be happy to go!

Gary and Dave: Thanks for the response. I know that I set it last minute and totally understand. Dave, have a safe trip out there. By the way Dave do you have clearance from you doctor to make it to the track day next month?

Unfortunately, I’ll be sans computer from now till after the scheduled drive. So I won’t be able to check the website until then. Since it was a last minute deal anyway and there hasn’t been anyone confirmed to go, I’ll just plan on doing the drive some other time. Sorry I hate to do that. My apologies to anyone that sees this and was planning on going.
