Thanks to Mark and Mitsu for the free ticket. I got to see the whole auto show, and went to the Dr. Evo reception. Sport Compact Car made a presentation of the second year in a row "Car of the Year" to the EVO VIII.
Unfortunately, there was not a 35th Anniversary 350Z at the show, only 2005 Blue Enthusiast 6 MT and White Roadster 5AT.
The best car at the L.A. show, IMHO, was the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve. Quad-Turbo 12 cylinder engine and carbon fiber body. 850 hp, 0 - 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, 0 - 100 mph in 6.2 seconds, 1/4 mile in 10.4 seconds at 142 mph, and top speed of 248 mph !!!
Also, there was a Lotus Exige in the aftermarket exhibits, that had the same 0 - 60 mph as the Four-Twelve.
All in all, it was not one of the best auto shows. Not that many interesting debuts. The Ferrari F430 is nice, and the new VW Jetta looks cool. I like the new Audi A4 bigmouth grille, but the tail-lights are ugly.
So much for my review.

Hey, did you see any of the Dodges? I was hoping to see the Magnum SRT-8. That's the next car I buy if my wife gets pregnant again. I've got to have a family car you know. My son is almost 2 now and he loves going for a ride in my G, but it's not big enough for two carseats and all the lugage that goes with them.

Or if the pic doesn't post. Here's the link.

Well, I have owned both a 2003 350Z Track, and a 2004 EVO RS, both heavily modified. And I can tell you from personal experience that an EVO runs circles around a Z. I know you don't want to hear that, but I don't think you are speaking from the kind of personal knowledge that I am.

Anyway, about THIS thread, found the LA show kinda disappointing. No z06, and a few other things I expected. Like the new S4 alot tho...

Gots to beat the traffic.
