Which Neighborhood Would You Recommend?
Hello fellow Z'ers! I am looking into purchasing a condo near or just west of downtown L.A.. I know prices are pretty high right now but I have a pretty good opportunity, in terms of financing, and I don't want to pass it up. SO...if you were looking for a condo in this general area, which neighborhood would you recommend? I am pretty familiar with the area so feel free to mention cross-streets as i'll probably recognize them. I know price is probably the biggest factor when asking this question, so I guess I'll say that i'm looking for a mid-priced place. Anyhow, I know some of you live or work near this area and I would REALLY appreciate your input.
Moderators: And this relates to my Z because...uhhh...I'm going to park it there?
Thanks!

Studio City/Sherman Oaks? 15 miles away from downtown, but not West LA and sort of pricey, sorry.
Culver City? Most of the west LA places I can think of (W. Ho. and the LA part near W. Ho.) are pretty $$$.

You may also want to consider looking in the south park area of downtown-- it's close to the Staples Center and is part of the renewal of that area. Developers are finally getting around to building housing for sale. It ain't cheap, but nothing is when it comes to housing. Good luck, and welcome to LA!
