I have never used anything but chevron, but I was considering trying out some of the shell V-POWER, it has cleaning additives just as the chevron gas does so I figure it’s worth a try right?

A friend of mine who worked in the tech division of a top Asian car manufacturer (who shall remain nameless) told me that the only fuel they would recommend is Chevron.

I agree from experience in more than one case. I currently have knocking problems past 6000rpm due to too much timing and noticed pinging earlier in the band when I filled up on mobil last week (as opposed to my usual Chevron down the street).
