Check the West Coast forum of Maxima.org. I think they're planning on making a trip to the auto show. I don't think they'd mind having Nissan's flagship around them.

I've been going to the autoshows every year for the past... oh so many years. BUT this year, I'll skip it. I have my dream car in my garage! I don't need to look at any other cars anymore. I might go next year to look at Z's potential competitors tho. Have fun guys! (whoever's going).

I asked this too but I guess I posted in the wrong forum (I think I did Off Topic). Yeah, I want to go! What is a good time and date for people? I'd prefer to go during the week b/c I work in downtown LA but I realize this is not going to be convenient for 99% of the people. So just let me know. My week is looking pretty free. I'd like to meet members face-to-face since I'm so new to the site.

accompanied by an adult
Seniors: $5.00 on weekdays (Monday - Friday)
Discount Coupons: Available in December at participating Chevron stations and new car dealerships. Valid for $2 off one regular admission. The coupon is not valid on Saturdays & Sundays 12-4 PM (discount is valid all other hours and days).
If we meet at 10:00 a.m., the coupon should be valid and we should get good parking for a line-up. Afterwards, we could do a drive up the 10 and PCH to Gladstones, Roadhouse, Moonshadows, or Charthouse.
I think I can make this unless I head up for the slopes or Las Vegas after New Years. How about you guys?

Okay folks, looks like we have a small turn out. How about if we get some breakfast before the show and meet at the Pantry say at 9:00 a.m. then head over at 10:00 a.m.?

For those who miss us for breakfast, how about we agree on an 'afterparty' meeting spot? Gladstones sounded ok to me, but they have valet only, don't they? =(

I'm not quite sure how we're going to do this - how will we know who we are? Is someone going to be carrying a sign? Should I dangle my Nissan keychain? Or pin a red carnation to my lapel....

Well, we had a nice little get together. The auto show was very cool. Iris and Peter have pics I hope will be posted. Roberto, we waited until 10:15 a.m. at the Pantry and headed over. Hope we didn't miss you. 
There were several Zs in the Nissan area including the Nismo S-Tune, an Axis Z, a couple regular Zs and a People's Choice Car of the Year Z that was unveiled. The Greedy Z was also on site in the after market section.
After the unveiling of the car of the year, Peter and I actually were able to make comments on video for Nissan internal about what we liked about the Z.
Iris learned how to open her trunk with her fob, I learned how to open my trunk without the fob and Peter learned that the Axis Z could hold 295 wheels.
Next meeting, we'll have to give at least a week or two notice and do a large So. Cal. get-together.

Sorry I flaked out ... I woke up sick as hell this morning. I had a cold last night and it just got worse.
