Kobe Scores 81 points!!!
Bryant scores 81 points in Lakers win
Kobe Bryant scored a staggering 81 points - the second-highest total in NBA history - and the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Toronto Raptors 122-104 Sunday night.
With the fans at Staples Center chanting "MVP! MVP!" Bryant made two free throws with 43.4 seconds remaining for his final points, putting him behind only Wilt Chamberlain on the all-time scoring list.
Amazing!!!

back in the late 80's they said the same thing about Jordan. They will build around Kobe and I dont know if they will be as great as the bulls back then, but Kobe definately has the potential to be as great as Jordan.

Kobe Bryant will NEVER be Michael Jordan. I don't care how many points he scores, he'll never do it with the grace, style and respect Michael Jordan has. Michael Jordan has had the potential and oppurtunity to surpass his personal 69 pt record, but he put his personal goals second to the team's dynamics. However, on that note, in doesn't help that Kobe is playing with a bunch of amateurs as supposed to Jordan's old teamates ( Pipen, Kerr, Rodman etc)

I remember Jordan had to Retire like 3 times. I dont see how that did anything for his team. One of those times was to play baseball? At least Kobe knows what hes good at; white women and big games!

+1 back then he could score 120, but this was a great performance by a great player. I don't care about MJ Kobe is Kobe and know one will get close to scoring 81 points again.
The best part was they were down by 18 points, I still have a smile on my face.
