Well I wear my front place in a Z-bracket just to avoid the **** probe.

Not having a plate is just a nice reason for them to stop you and go fishing - license, registration, insurance - fine ... how about that tint? Is that exhaust system CARB approved? Got any pot, alcohol, or guns in the car? Is that beer I smell on your breath? Mind if I pat you down for my safety? Right behind having broken/blown tail lights and expired plates is the missing front tag in the list of reason for Mr. PoPo to go fishing for some of your hard earned cash.

Towing?

I can remove the whole billet grill with four phillips head screws in about two minutes taking the Z-bracket right off at the same time.

People keep saying that, but it is not true. In California, it is a "fixt it" ticket. I have already had 3 of those in the last year and a half in San Francisco.

All you need to do is put the plate back on, get any cop to sign the back of the ticket, and then it is only a $10 fee.

but why would you want to go through all that.. ?? altho its 10 bucks only. if you add your up its 30.00 plus time wasted..

and lets say you had few drinks. not Drunk.. but cop could easily pull you over for not having front plate and could turn into DUI? why risk it??

just my 2 cents. PUt it on and dont worry about it

+1

I got tired of being pulled over so I just slapped it on with a Z bracket.

Well, let me quantify my comment: out of the 3 tickets, 2 of them were for my Stealth which has the UGLIEST license plate bracket (which damages the nose of the car everytime someone bumps it while parking). I also track my Stealth, so for me it is worth the occasional $10 ticket to not have that attrocity on the front of my car.

For my Z, I did just get the Zee-bracket and I might leave it on, although I really like to car better without it.

airport incident happened to me too. I own a maxima and I didn't have my front plates. The only time I got cited was when I went to LAX. So just don't go to LAX and hopefully it will be cool. Cost me like 20 something for the fix it ticket. Makes no sense.
