Watch out. The Speed Trials USA participants are a bunch of undisciplined bozos who spin all over the track. I ran with them one day at Buttonwillow last summer, and that was enough for me. Plus their tech system is stupid, you can't run any extra sessions, etc. etc.

Thumbs up what an awesome track day

for those of you who missed out this weekend, i would have to say it was money well spent. not only were the track conditions perfect, but the instructors they had on tap were extremely helpful and approachable at all times throughout the day. i went on saturday, which ran clockwise, less technical than running counter, and found buttowillow track to be better than the streets of willow. track is 3.0miles and has nice turns, hairpin turn, S turns, straights to pull up to 120mph, along with a sweeping right hander than can be taken at 80mph+ leading up 'magic mountain'. i would recommend this track to everyone. yea, a few out of control folks, but the corner men/women were quick to react at all times...for those who have never ran at buttonwillow, YOU SHOULD and please don't be overly confident and sign up in the intermediate/advanced classes. beginners will not only be given great runs and feedback after runs (brief huddle meetings in the patio section), you'll be able to light it up towards the end of the day without having to worry about overzealous unskilled intermediates who might just barrel into your car...

i've found a new hobby just from this day...much better than drags guaranteed.
