Default If a Cop Stops you in POMONA!

Hey guys I heard that if you get stopped by a cop in pomona without a license, they will not take your car away but they will give you a ticket. But you will still keep your car. So is this true and if it is why only in pomona?

Hey vick781, I used to live in La Verne!! Anyway, back to the subject. It's hard for me to believe that they won't take your car away. If that's the case, they'll probably have you call someone with a valid license to pick up your at the scene and have them drive it off. It would be a great liability for them to let you go off to drive the car with them knowing that you don't have a DL. Also, alot of people don't realize that it's a misdemeanor to drive without a DL (that includes NONE ISSUED, SUSPENDED, EXPIRED). Most departments will impound your car for 30 days!! That's a ton of $$$!!

If for some reason you don't have a license you really shouldn't be on the road. On second though, if they talked about it on the news im sure as hell there not going to do it anymore.

I got pulled over for speeding and I left my wallet at home. This was at Walnut, CA. He wouldn't let me call home to ask for the DL number. The cop cuffed me up and searched me and threw me in the back of his ride and tried to look up my information, and after about 20 min found some information on me and he gave me a ticket for speeding, no insurance (also left it at home) and let me go...

The messed up thing is I was there doing a community service helping the elementary school update their MAC computer out of my free will.

maybe it depends on what you drive?
my sister was driving without her license nor proof of insurance and got pulled over.
cop gave her a ticket and let her go.

sorry, i didn't know if by "without a license" you meant unlicensed driver or just driving w/o one.
